One thing I felt in my heart listening to this: that 'rushed' feeling, that unsettling feeling that something is escaping your grasp, or that you've 'missed' your chance is something to disbelieve. Those are lies from the enemy. God is all about your rest, He's never in a hurry because He controls it all. Therefore, we don't need to be stressed especially not about things outside of our control. Surrender it to the Lord, commit your ways and hopes and dreams to Jesus and accept His supernatural peace. God doesn't withhold any good thing from us, and what He doesn't desire for us would likely be harmful to us, so why grasp at it frantically? What He does have plans for in our lives WILL happen and nothing can stop it. If we can believe in this and rest, we as Christians can have victory.

I can't remember the exact scripture, but.. "You were not capable of choosing me. I chose you." That kind of thing made my heart fit to burst. It took me 30 years to find God, and I resisted at first. I truly believe that God called me. We discovered our love for each other simultaneously. Probably not quite true, God always loved me. I was unaware and the Holy Spirit ignited a passion for my Father when I asked for it in my confusion.
Exactly what I needed to hear. I have gone out and got myself exactly what my eyes pleased but it wasn't what God had chosen. For three and a half years now I have waited on him to choose. I do know that He knows better than I. I have faith that He will show me when the time comes. God is good and also wise.

Exactly what I needed to hear. I have gone out and got myself exactly what my eyes pleased but it wasn't what God had chosen. For three and a half years now I have waited on him to choose. I do know that He knows better than I. I have faith that He will show me when the time comes. God is good and also wise.

God has given me many powerful things of which I am grateful. However, I find myself in a quandary in which I see the gifts as beyond what I deserve or even need. I can only think that they were granted to me for a purpose. I know I have free will, but I don't know for what reason I have been granted these things.
