Todcutler is not the historically accurate, good performing, affordable range of historic replicas we deserve, but it is the one we need. You are doing the Lords work with todcutler, simply brilliant stuff. (The only thing we need now is a todcutler crossbow line, but that might be me dreaming)
I mean, if there’s enough market demand for him to find a way to make them he will probably find a way to do it if only because a he would probably like to find a way to make the crossbows a little bit cheaper but also for the obvious reason, the more people who buy his stuff the more extravagant, interesting experimental archaeology he can do basically through our purchases refund his experiments as a medievil mad scientist

Bloody hell, Tod. If I were a halfway wealthy man (and I'm not knocking the incredible price point, here), I'd have bought all four of these before posting this comment. It's like you've been surfing the algorithms to work out specifically what I want to see made.

We've put in an order for a Wakefield hanger. I asked my wife (thinking she'd say no) and she pretty much ordered me to get it on account of how much having one will cheer me up. I've been collecting for 20 years, and I can honestly say that your stuff is the best I've ever owned.

They look absolutely spectacular, I have a few of the Tod Cutler daggers and never regretted it (big thanks for offering a left handed messer).
Those in particular are a bit late for me, but I might find it hard to resist.
Oh, I didn't know he made those. I hope the grosse messer sells well enough to get a left-handed version too, I'd find that very tempting indeed.

I fell in love with 3rd one. If you've ever messed around with any sword play, the hands are very vulnerable. Having a basket type hand guard of any kind is definitely necessary.

See how quiet they are when sheathing them? Most depictions in film/tv/games have a loud metallic scraping sound.

Directors demand/expect that noise, as with many things in historical films, so you get that in media wether it's accurate or not; often not! I thinkhe noise is only authentic for all metal scabbards. I suppose it helps the blind to hear a classic "sword drawing/sheathing" sound.
I too am a lover of short swords. My long arms help. Just ordered the knuckle bow WOTR Wakefield hanger. So pretty, it made my eyes hurt. Gonna do some cutting. Will compare with LK Chen Ribaldo, and a couple more I have on order. Big cutting fest on my birthday at end of September I hope... Can't wait.

If the quality is what I think it will be, these are huge values, especially given that they include the scabbard and belt rig. I want all of them, but the hanger and type XIV are calling to me the most.
