You didnt read the manual. Youre supposed to put the gasket in a bag with a small amount of motor oil to coat it before installing it.

I didn’t have to put the gasket drowning in a bag of oil. This gasket has compression properties, so torquing the manifold will seal with zero issues, a very fine coating of oil will only create a sticked on gasket, if we listened to the misinformation you provided us with and drowned the gasket in oil it would be even worse, why do I know? Because I did add a fine amount of oil, to the gasket, and what did it do? It got glued to the manifold and once I removed the glued gasket off the manifold it slightly tore off some material. So if you want to drown your gasket in oil and ever have to remove your manifold again, be ready to have an extra gasket because it’s going to tear. Adding oil to the gasket will do mo difference, it’s not going to leak. Save this for important things like using micrometers to measure tolerances on the crankshaft and not using caliper tools as they are not accurate.

@@DEATHWISHVQ Hmmm guess you cant read. Im not spreading “misinformation” as much as youre leaving out information that was provided in the installation manual, as I mentioned btw. The manual states to use oil. That is not a lie. If you didnt want to use oil thats fine, and all you had to stay. But dont claim I am “spreading misinformation” when youre the one conveniently leaving out printed information that I pointed out.

@@jejejoey I admit my choice of wording was off. To be clear, yes the manual may say to add a think coat of oil. But it’s not necessary, it will seal regardless. If anything it will be a headache in the future if you try to remove it, you better be prepared to have a backup one because it may stick hard since the oil will act like glue. How do I know? I did add oil once when doing a cleaning head job and it slightly ripped the gasket when separating the manifolds.

YESSIR! I think I’ve done every mod possible to reduce temps. My plenum overall is stone cold during winter even after running it hard I have to do an update video to really show people how good this little “mod” works
