When I watch your videos I always see that granny square crochet blanket in the back of the pink and purple and I did one similar to that in a similar color scheme and gave it to my mom on her birthday!! And it cracks me up that you have it in any of your videos

best heat protectant, no styling hold imo. Note- You have to shake thoroughly before lightly misting. Has an oil component.

There is a Kendra thermal spray that I used years ago, it has hold to it as well. It worked really well in our 80% humidity summers. I don’t tong my hair as my daily style anymore so I haven’t used it in a long time, but I do remember having to rinse the nozzle more than once because it was gummy.

Cynthia Lumzy is a wig stylist, and has her own wig hair care line! Her thermal spray Sweet Heat is said to be AMAZING for wigs! I’ve also used Rusk Thermal Shine on human units and has great success with that🤩

L’Oréal Tecni Art Pli is awesome for heat styling and hold, it’s like a old fashioned setting spray that works fabulous with tongs and bouncy blowdries

Have you tried Kenra Platinum Blow-Dry Spray? This stuff is amazing at thermal protection, reducing frizz, detangling, smoothing, softening, smells amazing and reduces blow dry time by 50%.

Matrix has a line of thermal protectors, also sexy hair, I do love joico when I'm styling shorter wigs and matrix has a great scent and it's not as crunchy as other brands

The living proof flex hairspray is amazing as a styling heat protector! It’s a flexible hairspray with heat protectant in it and I love it! I do a ton of wedding hair in eastern Ontario and we have a lot of humidity as well and I find it helps a ton! ❤️❤️

Vanity, you are absolutely STUNNING as Mariah!! I've watched many of your Mariah performance videos, and you are simply the BEST....hands down!! You do the complete package...hair, makeup, costume, and performance. To be able to master all at once is pure talent!!! One day I hope to be able to see you perform live. 🙏 My thermal protectant recommendation is Moroccanoil Perfect Defense. This is the best heat protectant I have used as a professional stylist behind the chair for 25 years. It is absolutely weightless on the hair, and protects up to 450F/230C. I've used the Joico before, but I like the Moroccanoil better. However; Joico does have a humidity blocking finishing spray (Joico Humidity Blocker+, it is not a thermal protectant) that is nice for when you need that extra hold and protection from weather. xoxo ♥

Bizarrely the American Crew line by Amazon has a very good thermal protecting spray and I’ve found it great on my own hair and human hair wigs - weird I know as it’s not a salon brand or even a particularly “premium” brand but they do have some good products (and some shit ones too!). The other good one they have in their line the ubiquitous “rice flour in a can” aka “dry shampoo” but I think they call it “styling spray” - honestly one of the better ones and works as a dry shampoo as well as for styling (my real hair is v much like yours in texture and density but down to my waist). V fine spray, v finely ground product, smells of oranges and goes a really long way considering it’s in quite a small can - I got months out of a can whereas those arm-long cans you see in shops of leading brands last me a few weeks at most. Not an ad - they sent me the whole range to review 4-5 years ago, but I kept buying those two items as they’re quite good.
