bro i am right now in second year 4th sem. i have zero projects in ai so if after getting soe experience in ai what would be the best time to email iit iisc professors for research internship.

Suppose i apply through the portal for the summer internships. Is it still required to mail the professors separately after that? Will that give me a better edge over the other students applying only through the portal? Pls reply.

Sir this is urgent . I am from IISER KOLKATA and I got a positive response from a professor of IISC asking me from when to when I will be free for the Internship. I have told him that may to last week of July. Now he replied that he can't take students for such short duration. What to do sir!

how did you manage to get attendance in college with majorly last 2 years being occupies with internship?
Mera college m attendance kaafi kharab tha yr... but didn't affect my final result a lot.

Generally, they don't ask for NOC or Bonafide. And yes they allow students from every university.

When I went, I stayed on my own. You can find PGs for cheap in Mathikere and other student areas.

Yeah there would be for sure but I'm not very much aware of it.
How did you prepare for the interview round of IISC Banglore?
Tbh, I didn't prepare for that. But they asked mostly about the projects mentioned in my resume.

Yeah they might interview but it is not that hard. Generally, it is more of a discussion and not a interview. So don't be worry about it.

What are the chances of getting the internship when proff invites for a discussion....what can we expect...?
Bro, your chances would be very high if you take care of the following things:-
1. You should have basic idea of the research area in which the respective professor is working.
2. Just try to show him a lot of enthusiasm.
3. It is fantastic if you have gone through to any of his previous works. And try to ask questions around it.
4. You should have whole understanding of your projects and be cleared with the reasons for each thing used in your project.
