Although I moved away from his music, I always respected his skill. One of the few rappers I used to listen to consistently.

Most people that stopped listening to his music did so bc he became too lyrical for the average person who, no disrespect, but isn’t smart enough to comprehend what he’s saying. He never wanted to make commercial music that you just vibe to. He’s a real lyricist and poet who once he got his own label, was allowed to do what he always wanted to do which is be a writer who’s musically inclined. He is so technically brilliant that his cadences and flows are almost mesmerizing. I promise if you took the time to watch bar breakdown experts like Knox Hill or Flawd TV, you would really appreciate his music once you understood it. It’s like going to school for barology in hip hop which is funny bc they actually do teach and study his lyrics in college literature classes. The dude is genius level brilliant and the average person doesn’t even know it.

I Noticed u had said this was the slowest you've heard him rap. Yes he loves to flex that fast flow but i recommend you check his older songs like "Like toy soldiers" "MockingBird" "When i'm gone" "Soldier" etc. The Fast flow is cool but i hate how he gets "branded" with the fast flow (not coming at you btw). He's got so much more material that ppl overlook bc they only think he raps fast.

You are the only person I’ve ever heard say the video is corny and it’s not but probably bc his videos are even a bar which you clearly don’t understand and most people don’t understand him bc he’s smarter than most people. You reading his lyrics isn’t gonna help you understand his lyrics any better so maybe look up genius lyrics that give meaning to his bars or listen to Knox Hill who is an expert in breaking bars down. This song has a much deeper meaning than you may think. “All I think about” by Eminem and Royce Da 5’9 is the most lyrical song I’ve ever heard and it took Knox Hill 1 1/2 hours to break down. You really shouldn’t react to or give opinions on the greatest lyricist that ever lived unless you understand him and the only way to do that is watch real reactors that know what they’re talking about like rappers like Knox Hill, Flawd TV or Cliff Beats who is a industry ghost writer. It’s an insult to Eminem to say this isn’t a deep meaning song or not a very lyrical song. For example when he starts talking about a bedridden “Edgar Allen Poe, medicine screaming let us in like a salad bowl” he’s referring to himself being on life support after an overdose in 2007 and Edgar Allen Poe was bedridden before his death, he’s fighting his addiction and also Edgar Allen Poe is a type of salad. That sentence alone is called a triple entandre!

I appreciate you taking the time to write this comment. As first-time reactors to something, we often lack the deeper and more complex background information and nuances that you're describing. I'm sure that researching this more will enrich my understanding and appreciation of it. However the idea with reactions is to go blindly into something, otherwise it wouldn’t really be a reaction if I had too much foreknowledge. I learn more about Eminem every time I listen and I’m sure it will be worth delving deeper into this song to pick up on the brilliance you’re describing.
Just to clarify it was the video and the way the actors were moving/dancing that I found corny, not Eminem’s performance. Thanks for watching the reaction and giving your input!
