- Gaano na nga ba kalala ang pagpapakalat ng mga kasinungalingan online? Bakit napakaraming namamanipula ng mga Tiktok at RUclips videos na binabaluktot ang kasaysayan? At paano nagagamit ang mga pekeng impormasyon na ito ng mga trolls at panatiko para i-harass at pagbantaan ang mga journalists?

One way to shield us from the deceptive and manipulative tactics of trolls and the disinformation they propagate is to learn about the argumentative/logical fallacies they often use. Because it helps us to be more critical. Examining fallacies were taught to us relatively well back in senior highschool. And it comes in very handy especially in our current political climate.

I agree! I think it's high time we reach out to the experts on how to address issues with Cyber-trolling. We have been caught off-guard but now we are aware. Naturally, we were reactive, and it ate us alive. Time for us to be more proactive. I still believe there are a lot who are willing to help out.

It may be impossible to really listen to them (being unheard and ignored and vulnerable, even felt victimized) on a Social Media platform. Listening (empathy) must be face to face. Long term solution really is proper education (not teaching people how to get a job but more teaching them how to become good people. Ibalik ang GMRC subject (Good Manners and Right Conduct) and teach the teachers well.

Quick questions: 1) Paano ang employment arrangements ng trolls? Sources and channels of compensation. Are they paying taxes on their income 2) For those trolls who manage teams: Are they self-employed or working as employees or contractors of some corporate entity? 3) Who own the corporate entities? From where are they operating? 4) To what extent can these questions be answered from OSINT sources (open-source intelligence)?

Everyone knows for whom the trolls are doing what they are doing. Starting from bbm, he should tell the trolls and those designated to distribute the payments to STOP their evil strategies.. Otherwise the trolls are in effect throwing mud to their controllers/benefactors rather than to their targets. There are millions of decent, intelligent Filipinos who know the truth and sees through the folly of these trolls.

It's so disappointing that Pinoys believe the vloggers, tiktoks and FB, with fake narratives, rather to believe credible journalists. Like what you said Christian, it's so easy to check through Google. I witnessed it even my friend who shares the wrong info about VP Leni, because she preferred BBM. What and who determines the truths and facts? Is it only journalists or media that can determine what is good information? Can citizens decide themselves what is facts or truths. If citizens do not agree or do not trust what journalists/media present as truth can citizens look to alternative point of views and or reports?
@@markinvictus9729 here’s what’s different about journalists. Every day, a group of editors sit down to review the reports of the journalists if they are true. The journalists or reporters need to get two sides or two people to quote in a report before a story is released. But that’s not enough, a roomful of editors will decide if a story is good to run or it’s not yet ready. With vloggers, they don’t have to report to their bosses - the editors. They can upload anytime. But please note that reporters and journalists are different from political analysts work for media outlets who can say anything. Journalists need hard documentation unlike political analysts.
