@Kyle you asked about what time I get up on cruises. I’m an early riser and napper. I love the quiet early empty ship and watch the sunrise and have breakfast and coffee in peace. I enjoy the mornings. Then I nap in the room during the hot hot sun and then I enjoy the evening. Have fun on the cruse. Will be in WDW with family in early June. Hope to see you around!!

Kyle, if you keep gambling with your cabin room key and enroll in casino royale you will get comped rooms. We went on Freedom of the Seas and gambled a little every night and we have received 2 comped room offers since. First few months they were sending us $100 off but after ignoring those they sent us complimentary ones 😬 Hopefully that helps your pocket in the long run and help you produce more cruise content

I was on the Mariner of the Seas two weeks ago on the same trip you are on and I got up early and would go on deck to look at the sunrise.

I’m always up extremely early, just a habit, but it’s fun to walk around the ship when everybody else is sleeping- so peaceful. We have three cruises booked in 2023! Loyal to Royal.❤ oh, and Kyle, the coconut cookies are called ranger cookies. They are awesome.😊

I’m not sure if you’ve eaten at 150 Central Park. But if you haven’t, on your next cruise you need to eat there if the ship has it! Order the braised short rib with the polenta as the appetizer. The polenta is amazing. Then, get the beef tenderloin for 2. It was the best dinner on Royal so far!

With Royal being so expensive, what would you suggest as an alternative. We plan to cruise as a family (4 adults) in 2024. We really want to cruise Royal, but the price is crazy right now.

I get up pretty early, even when on a ship, Usually between 630 and seven. I’ve been on carnival, Royal, Disney and NCL. My favorite is Disney followed closely by carnival. We will be going on the celebrity Apex in December for the first time. Really excited to try celebrity. All cruise lines have gone up in price.
Kyle: Why are you so behind on blogs? Your Instagram shows you and the family at Magic Kingdom. I’d save the rest of the cruise blogs for a day off.
My husband & I went on the Marnier of the Seas in Feb 2023. We got a great deal and paid $800 for both of us to go on a 4 night cruise. We did feel that parts of the ship (mainly the rooms) were dated & not very clean. We also did not enjoy the food very much. We still had a great time but just didn’t love it as much as Kyle does.

It’s not just RCCL that has higher prices. NCL is up there also. I’ve been finding MSC to be more reasonable than any other cruise line. I’m with your mom, reading by the pool or on your balcony with a nice refreshing drink is the best way to relax. Coconut cookies are the bestest on Royal!

Going on oasis in November and it was 800 a person for an interior not including gratuities. I miss how cheap it was even just last year. The most we ever paid post pandemic before this was 650 a person and that included gratuities. And we always get the drink package too because it’s a great value for us. But they haven’t run the sales on the package the way they did last year😭 so much cheaper

I get up around 6 every day cruise or not. I actually go to the gym as it opens for half hour treadmill. Also no elevator challenge. Then on with my day.

I've never been on a cruise ship, but I feel like I'd probably get up around 9 or 10 in the morning to grab some breakfast and enjoy the various amenities. Especially the pools or hot tubs.
Edited to add: You should definitely have tried the fried calamari. It's delicious, and what better time to be adventurous than on a cruise on the open sea?
Kyle - Royal Hash browns look a lot like Arby's Potato Cakes. If you've never had Arby's Potato Cakes, they are off the chains and normally made to order so they are piping hot when you get them. Thick and crispy on the outside, but still lots of potato that isn't on the inside. You can also order them all day long. 10 out of 10 best hash browns made!

Days at sea up at 8ish and on port days up at 730. Im going on an RC cruise this coming Nov. Symphony of the Seas. So excited. Definitely more expensive than my Nov 2022 RC cruise but thats ok.
Prices are way up on all cruise lines. I went on a 14 night transatlantic cruise last October from Europe to Miami and absolutely loved it!! And I looked into booking the same cruise ship going back to Europe last month. And it was triple the price I paid before. When it comes to hotels, airfares, cruises etc, the price goes up and down depending on supply and demand. You paid a high price Kyle because the ship was full. Royal might be way lower in the Fall! Who knows! And I’m hoping demand goes down a little because I want to go on another cruise! 😀

So we chose Carnival this time, RC last winter. Yes, prices have gone up on all of them. This is only our second cruise but we liked the itinerary to Key West from Galveston for Carnival but coming out of Galveston Carnival and RC pricing really is neck and neck. Excited Carnival May sit us with others to get to know people at dinner that RC refused to do. Was super put off by that and it wasn’t a covid thing.

My Italian hubby (named Jamie) said it's not Eye Tallian or Uh talian - its Ih talian LOL It's so hard to go to a restaurant hungry on a cruise - so much good stuff everywhere! The prices have been insane recently. I miss pre covid pricing. Even when they first opened back up it was cheaper. Rn the prices are very expensive. You can still get great deals just have to hunt. Ill be on freedom in sept 4 night for $230 a person

Cruising Indy in 34 days. I think Royal is the best value. Quality, yet not Disney pricing.
To save money on the internet package you only need to pay for multiple devices if they are all going to be connected at the same time. If only 1 person connects at a time, you can pay for only 1 device and when you log in, it will kick off whoever was the last person to connect. You could connect your laptop at night after everyone goes to bed, and then let the video up load overnight.
