So much focus is always on the high belts and the falsettos but I love a good midrange voice. Sure, a good belt adds that bit of extra, a falsetto adds beautifully vulnerability.. .but the depth and warmth of that mid range...gorgeous. and yes, Seungmin sounds gorgeous in that range.
The original version of Umbrella by Epik High featuring Younha has a very early 00s arrangement. Seungmin definitely took the arrangement in a very different direction, giving it a lot more space and introspection. Highly recommend the original for comparison and also because it's Epik High. Younha on the track has such a beautiful voice that contrasts elegantly with Mithra Jin and Tablo's flow.
