Years ago when I was only familiar with Kenji's master pieces in GITS and Seven Swords, while appreciating this concert, I thought this Patlabor theme is not bad at all. But years after when my attention extends to Patlabor 2, and OMFG what a grand and deep movie --- both philosophically and politically. And OMG that opening animation of mechanics and this Theme! It just brings a much higher level of soothing experience when appreciating this piece again!

当時高校生。パトレイバーを全く知らず友達に連れられて見た時この曲にやられてサントラ即買ったなぁ。あれから３０年近く経つけど今でも聞きたくなる曲です。素晴らしい！
Did you see it at the cinema or VHS? In the UK I had it on VHS, the music and the visuals were the only good thing. The storyline was... poor quality!
When the choir comes in, gives me goosebumps. A spectacular piece of music.
Patlabor 2 would not be the masterpiece it was without that soundtrack.
Kenji Kawai is simply genius. What a great piece.
