I got stuck on one bolt. After an hour I realized the tensioner pully can be taken off to get better access on that bottom left bolt haha. THANKS MAN!!
I appreciate your how-to video, I used it with success. For those working on an Acura RSX with the K20A2, you will have to put a a small board and jack under the engine and remove the motor mount/bracket to get the bottom bolt of the belt tensioner out.
I just followed his instructions a few minutes ago to do this on my daughters car. A small amount of engine oil remained in the removed part, behind the screen. None dripped out of the engine.
What is the wrench and socket you use at around the 7 minute mark for the firewall side bolt on the tensioner, the bolt closest to the plate with the filter?
Hi David, thank you for seeing my DIY video. I could not get the new gaskets in Naija, at least in all the places I checked, so I got it from amazon.com. I still have some left, if you are interested.
It was my timing cover seal. I bought the seal from the dealership for $12 and had it replaced for apx $375 (friend price) from a different shop. I had others quote me $750-$1200. They suggested I also replace my timing cover chain but I disagreed and only did the seal. The VVT solenoid is also close to the alternator, and has a gasket that tends to leak. Best way to figure out the leak is with the uv oil dye leak detection.
The only 1 on RUclips that addresses this! --Cheers and a big thank you!
Thank you.
Glad to help!

Hi David, thank you for seeing my DIY video.

You're welcome 👍🏻
Did you happen to drop the nut behind the bolt tensioner?
No.
I did not. Be careful not to drop the nut.
Thanks sir
Thank you!
Could this be why there is oil all over my alternator?
It is possible.
Did you ever find the leak? I got oil all over my alternator too
Oil stain at the alternator could cause by the VTECH Strainer leak & Power steering pump leak.

@@pl0tgib when you add that dye do you have a time limit to check it?
What a boring music, next time no need to play music.
Next time, use the mute button
Why the fucking music
