If you are surviving, encumbrance is a key factor in your plans. As light as possible with only what you have to carry. Urban complicates things dramatically. Clean water being supremely important.

Camping is survival practice and enjoyable as a hobby. Survival is more serious and not fun and games. Good presentation, Sir.

I agree. Survival can be a lot less stressful if you have right attitude. In the same turn, camping can be stressful as crap if you have a poor attitude.

Gold and silver could be considered survival gear but not really camping gear.

You are not wrong, but I would not have gold of silver on me if I am camping and it turns into a survival situation.
