I've read the book six times. There was a film of it made in the 1930's, but it was unfortunately allowed to deteriorate beyond any hope of repair. It has all the makings of a great film today. I'd cast Leonardo di Caprio as Jurgis. A contemporary film would do incredible justice to this story.
i read this book a few months back and loved it. it might even be one of those rare life changing books but i dont think i could bear sitting through this narration.
aww, now so bad... could be the Whale story guy O.o turn down and relax :) I have read the book 4 times, this is great to have at all. Reading it is best tho, if you can.

Cool, public domain but it's like it was written today... just trade the Polish workers with Mexicans. Graizchones turns to Gracias ;).
sb
great idea but the voice sucks indeed. Is the narrated by a person or is it just computer reading? Makes it not very enjoyable to listen to :(
Voice is kind of annoying. Not the kind of thing you want in an audio book!!
Awful
