Been watching the channel for about a year now and I haven't left a single comment yet. Really awesome work. You helped me a lot. I have been watching a lot of color grading tutorials the past few days, but this one was the most helpful. Thank you!
Thank you for the tutorial! That was outstanding.... I'm like others that didn't know that could be done with this software... A+ on all of it. I also wanted to add your teaching skills are epic, I was able to follow you the whole time and not question what had been done. Have a great day my friend and thanks again...
This video gives a great comprehensive look at color grading and it provides someone who is new to the subject some easy creative tools to make their images that much better.
LUTs are nice, but no substitute for knowing what you're doing. LUTs were designed just to save your grades as a preset. One would hope that you learn what Jordi has done with your own creativity, and save that as your own LUT. Another thing people don't grasp is that every LUT was designed for a specific initial (Log) setting from a given camera, so you have to know how to grade anyway.
Thanks a million Jordy! Just discovered you through your recent videos but this video has explained the concepts and settings within Lumetri better than any other video I've watched on the subject from others that were produced in 2022/23. Everything just clicked in my head. Also, your personality and videos are growing on me everyday. Thank you!
I need URGENT HELP! I am in process of post-production of my short film and using Premiere pro cc latest. I have 9 scenes and each scene is a separate sequence. I created a final sequence to assemble all the scene sequences. In each scene, I used an adjustment layer for color correction, another one for noise reduction where I used neat video plugin. I also used mask tracking a lot for matching lighting, face tracking for skin tones. Each scene sequence is rendered individually. there are two problems: 1. I see the new assembled final sequence is red in the timeline which means I need to render it again, why? Though I rendered the final sequence anyway which took 12 hours. But another problem arises, explained below: 2. Mask trackers get displaced sometimes in final assembled sequence but in individual sequence, it doesn't happen.
I have to say that it was pretty mind blowing. I use Lightroom for developing my photos but had always depended on my 'eye for colour' but never truly grasped the concept of white vs highlights and black vs shadows. I googled around but nothing quite explains it like you demonstrated with the scopes. I could cry from the enlightenment I got from this video! Thank you so much for this!
This way is great.. but still not that effective if you will grade a whole projekt. Can you make a tutorial about color grading a whole project in the fastest and most effective way?
+Shamoun Gergi well, this is how it's done. Like mentioned, there're different layers of detail you can do. I also don't always mask. I usually grade one clip, copy/paste the effects to the next clip and adjust where needed.
you can use all other effects, lumetri just gather all them into one single fx and add some extra but you still able to achieve the same without lumetri
Great video! I stopped using Cinestyle because I was never able to get a good graded result out of it. Now I'm going back and grading some of my really old footage after seeing this video.
Mannn FINALLY what i've been looking for! An in-depth video tutorial of someone color grading some flat GH4 footage. Jordy, thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU for this video man. I'm watching the clip and totally amazed at how you brought this otherwise flat as hell footage to life. I can't wait to try it on some of my footage that I've shot with the GH4. I'll certainly use this video as a strong reference. Please continue to make quality content!
ho my God this is FANTASTIQUE, I am learning a lot with you lot guys, i want to meet you for more training, how can it happen , you lot are the GOAT of tutorials
thank you so much for this i've been wanting to understand how this lumetri scope works. I can now venture into newer levels i haven't before. I cant say thank you enough
All of it extremely helpful, especially at the very beginning where he encouraged shooting as flat (low contrast) as possible to preserve all of the data overhead for working with. I've used a higher contrast preset in-camera for years, which ultimately limited my ability to tweak contrast and brightness because I'd virtually "thrown out" a lot of valuable image data. Now I've changed the camera setting to shoot for "muddy" low contrast footage. Thank you!!
Im just a beginner of color grading and I love this video. Very logical, easy to understand, your text in the video is just right enough to not get bored! Keep it up!
Interesting. This is definitely a completely different approach than most who shoot Log recommend. Many suggest having a Log to rec-709 LUT as your first step. Then, using various scopes to get your exposure, while balance and skin tones correct rather than relying on what you see in your monitor which can fool your eyes. But I definitely enjoyed the more creative techniques of using the different layers to work with masks in introducing effects that were not present during the actual video recording.
thank you all for your efforts, I have one suggestion If you do not mind, I suggest to upload the videos that you editing in your tutorials, so the viewer can make practice with you as the same time.
Boy, I can tell you this is the best tutorial I've seen so far!! You explain things perfectly and you tell people how to use techniques and not to move some sliders just bcos. Awesome, fela!!
Man. I was searching a lot of cinematic colorgrading short trailers. That was the best one, i need to watch it 3times more, cause you are teaching a lot :) Thanks for that, that was awesome!

Thank you for the tutorial! That was outstanding.... I'm like others that didn't know that could be done with this software... A+ on all of it. I also wanted to add your teaching skills are epic, I was able to follow you the whole time and not question what had been done. Have a great day my friend and thanks again...
This is 1 of the best guides ever for creating cinematic look with Adobe Premiere pro, thank you a lot.
You are a god ....
I watch. Two much of videos for next level color grading but not works ...
And finally this single video make a pro colourist today
Sensational tutorial , tweaking the temperature, using color mates, in order to further enhance the main subject attention ,
at the end, was awesome
The only channel which does Justification for thumbnail (which makes audience feel delighted).
Thank You Cinecom
This is the tutorial to end all tutorials on cinematic color correction/grading. Thank you very much!
Yes. Finally, a real more-advanced take on Lumetri. Thank you, love the work you were able to do with multiple masks.
Nice tip at the end with the light and dark masks. Thanks a bunch.
This is my favorite tutorial ever. Very informative!!!
Even aftr 3 yrs .... Its still one of the best tutorial video......thnks a lot man....
This is the best channel i've ever seen love from India 🙏🙏💜💜
As a newbie to editing I more or less know where to start, this vid showed me some where I could go.
Awesome thanks. Thumbs up and subscribed
I was not wasting my time for creating mask but this is really cool
Thank you
Are there any other ways to keep the subject or skin tone in contrast with the background with creating so many layers and working on them seperatly??
This video gives a great comprehensive look at color grading and it provides someone who is new to the subject some easy creative tools to make their images that much better.
wow so that's how you really get those cinematic look huh. what do you think about using Lut? will that make life more easier?
What if you want the subject to pop out.
You just do a little manual grading on the subject under the LUT.
Sure, use the same $14.99 LUT everyone else does, I'm sure that will make your video stand out.
LUT is like you used a calculator, Color Grading by hand is like you use a paper and pencil to make arimetic operations
Thanks a million Jordy! Just discovered you through your recent videos but this video has explained the concepts and settings within Lumetri better than any other video I've watched on the subject from others that were produced in 2022/23. one of the best tutorial i have never seen
by far!!
Seriously, people like you who are always open to share their invaluable knowledge with others make this world a better place ! You are amazing !
3:46 WOW, That reminds me of EQ'ing music! I now see how editing images/video and music can be similar, all due to frequencies! #TeslaWouldBeProud 🔥🔥🔥
YESSS!
probably the best color grading tutorial I've ever seen , Thanks Jurdy
Follow us on Instagram: cinecom.info/Instagram
The shot is also great before the grading. It really depends on how your scene will look
where to find lumetri button . i use Premier Pro 6
Holy cow! I didn’t expect that! Bravo

Bro, amazing !!! Straight forward and with so much new info that most people don’t talk about in their tutorials.
Thanks a lot for this great tutorial!
It's very useful. You've the talent of teaching too. Easy to understand you. Not many can be as clear as you're. Shaka from Uganda

Thanks Dude for Shadow n Black, White n Highlights
+Zeeshan Abdul Maalik glad to hear that! :-)

This is truly the best color grading tutorial i have ever seen
You guys are amazing!
Best example with the black and whites bars, you are genius man, thx a lot:)
Looks nice but not really using scopes (other than to give an example) could possibly run into a lot of problems later down the line..
I'll make another tutorial about that soon :-)
Like he said in the video. Excellent work!
I was tired of searching for informative color grading tutorial. I am glad I didn't give up. Thank you

Cinecom.net Ok, got it ;)
@@CinecomCrew how do you copy/paste just the effects to the next clip ?
@@overkillonslash click on the effect crtl-c, highlight next clip and ctrl-v
@@CinecomCrew this is the exact question i needed to ask. Thanks big time, trust me it wont be much work as long as i get the cinematic look. Cheers
Excellent and informative video. Perhaps the best Premiere Pro tutorial or at least the best color grading video I've come across.
THanks men :D !!! You re videos are very usefull.. is change my life in my video looks :D thanks ^^ !!!
엄청나네요... 정말 간단하게 슥슥 하는것 같아 보이지만 결과물은 확연하게 차이가 나고 취미 영상이면 차고도 넘치는 유익한 내용이었습니다. 감사합니다.
but if you have a person running around, its very difficult to mask the person out and it will take very long time
+Vegard Pedersen that's true. Often a very quick mask is made (just a circle). Increase the feature enough and don't do drastic changes.
ok, thank you :-)
can you make a tutorial about that?
I made a tutorial about that! Check it out :) 😎
You mean "feather"
Jesus this is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen!
I have PREMIER CS6 and LUMETRI its not there.. it work in PREMIER CC only ??..... thanks.
