I’ve lived and almost married a Korean in Busan, you are not the typical Korean lady and it’s great that you are different. You are adventurous and willing to take risks traveling to different countries and living and traveling like locals. There are a lot of Korean ladies that live and also vlog in the Philippines but you are unique.
Wow, your dedication to improve your surfing skills is really admirable. Tip on removing the seeds of a ripe papaya, you can use a spoon to gently scrape the seeds off without carving the flesh. Also, for the pomelo, you need to peel off the white "veins" coz its bitter.
14:23 you’re absolutely right about tropical fruits don’t always taste good. But, knowing which fruit would taste good and picking whether the fruit is overripe or underripe could have a better outcome. Obviously, the papaya was way overripe as your friend/brother mentioned of the foul smell. That’s a dead giveaway that the fruit is already rotten. Then, the guava was the complete opposite. It was not ripe enough as indicated being hard to slice. You should be able to slice it easily for it to be ready to eat. Next time, don’t hesitate to ask a local to help you pick out the fruit so you won’t be disappointed and not waste your money as well. 😉😉😉

Along the way I often see groups of Korean girls who travel and behave almost similarly (delicate, doesn't like extreme sports like weightlifting or surfing, they travel in groups, hates sun exposure, dont have tattoos, is too shy to make friends with locals or other foreigners; these things are not bad, but these can hinder one to have a full experience of adventure and travel in a country like the Philippines.). You, on the other hand, are very different, and it's refreshing and relatable for me to see. I bet you also inspire a different perspective of what it can look like as a solo female traveler for other Korean women. Brava!

The pomelo and papaya looked so unripe. Those pink guavas you see are Thai apple guavas. The one you ate is the Indian/Detwiler variety. Philippines also have the pink ones that are not usually cultivated for selling in the market. They are smaller than the white guava.

we called it red horse not red holes.coz as the trademark says,the horse,as in the animal is red.holes is if there's holes in many areas.i think the papaya is not fully riped but its more delicious if you put milk,banana and ice and if you prefer,sugar on it.just like a shake or ice cream.its good thing that you didn't break your nose but you can also put an ice there and it will heal much faster.

I can't believe the coconut trees that were destroyed by the typhoon in December 2021 are fine now. Siargao's beauty is back....
Hmm when we went there in january 2023, they were not completely back yet… especially in the northern part. And a lot of buildings were deserted.

we called it red horse not red holes.coz as the trademark says,the horse,as in the animal is red.holes is if there's holes in many areas.i think the papaya is not fully riped but its more delicious if you put milk,banana and ice and if you prefer,sugar on it.just like a shake or ice cream.its good thing that you didn't break your nose but you can also put an ice there and it will heal much faster.
