【世界コスプレサミットとは？】
世界コスプレサミット「ワールドコスプレチャンピオンシップ」は2005年のWCSから始まった、コスプレ世界一決定戦です。代表として日本・名古屋に訪れるためには、WCSとパートナーシップを結んでいる各国・地域のオーガナイザーが開催する予選を勝ち抜かなくてはなりません。 代表になったコスプレイヤーが日本に集結し、コスプレパフォーマンス世界一を目指すのが「ワールドコスプレチャンピオンシップ」なのです。
代表になったコスプレイヤーは翌年以降「WCSアルムナイ」と呼ばれ、WCS関連イベントにゲスト参加したり、コスプレメディアで紹介されたりするため、WCS本戦出場はコスプレイヤーの登竜門ともいえます。
