I'm glad he sings most of his songs in English. He recognizes the importance of communicating in English, the importance of America for his careers and that Netflix is an American company showing _Young Royals._
A lot of artists based in Sweden sing in English though. When he began his solo career in 2018 after being in a band that only did music in English and a little Spanish on some tracks for Omar's solos I think it was smart of him to make music in mostly Swedish and Spanish. It was something new and his fans were mostly Swedish back then, so there was no language barrier and the songs became closer and more direct since it is the language we speak in our everyday life. After Young Royals music in English and Spanish was the obvious thing for him to do as a lot of his new fans speak those languages. He is not dumb, he knows that the US has a big market for movies and music and pre Young Royals he tried to make it solo with his music there but it did not work out as he had planned.
