Jeff; I noticed you mentioned the stack of positive leads on the battery terminal. But you never pointed out that there wasn't a thread visible on the terminal post. That nut will vibrate loose very easily as there is next to no drag torque holding the nut on.
Take my electrical system for example and replace it with this. Thank you very much now I have much less to fix.

You make an excellent point. All too common to see nuts only partially threaded
into place. In some cases only have the nut is actually threaded.
Does the 2” of heat shrink refer to up the wire from the terminal or 2” overall?
The heat shrink length should be 2” overall.
