Went snipping for the first time this year....she was COLD but hey, finding gold warms ya up a bit with excitement. I’m using a 7mm wetsuit and it’s not too bad. 😃

Thanks Michelle the wetsuit I’m using keeps me real toasty just my hands and feet that get cold my mate wears a drysuit and he’s swapping to wetsuit we do a lot of hiking and he struggle with the weight etc of the drysuit
The wetsuit I wear keeps me warm it’s just my hands and feet that don’t keep up my mate wears a drysuit but he’s converted to wetsuit for ease of use and the hiking we do to get to the places we go

So jealous, your videos keep the dream alive for myself, i cant wait to move to Tassie! Would love to pick someones brain about good places to live in Tassie (not that there is a bad place) but i just want to get it right the first time. I`ve subscribed to the Mercury and read it every day. To be honest i`d like to live somewhere between Launceston and St Mary or perhaps as far down as Bicheno but have only spent about 10days in Tassie to this point. I just love the place and the people, it really is special.
Yeh the East coast is amazing but can be a bit isolating for a lot of people that have moved there in the past port Sorell Deloraine or tuners beach would be my suggestions without going into detail 👍🏼
I was okay till you mentioned the snow then I started shivering. I remember the olde blokes in my home town telling me about the various goldfields dotted all around it. They would say things like Match head size gold from there, nuggety gold from another field right up to 50oze nuggets were common at one field while another was know for mustard gold in pockets. You get nice-sized pieces.Very good country your in. Pity about the lack of heat.
LEVI GOOD JOB MATE a 1.7grams is not a bad day but it sure looks cold out there I think what u should do is bring a pot to boil water so u can put the hot water into ur wetsuit I know most wetsuit u can run hot water though them to keep up toasty and warm cuz u cant get frostbite again not worth the risk ok I rambled enough now lol time the next 1 brother 👍😎🇨🇦👍😎🇨🇦👍😎🇨🇦

This gold is glacial so it’s a bit more randomly deposited than lose or reef gold breaking away into a river there’s tigers still mate 👍🏼
