  • Here's my old set up from the last 2 years till now. Car had a 100% Stock head, built bottom end, 62/66 precision turbo, e85, Stock h22 LSD transmission. Car was only tuned up to 23psi. Couldn't go any further due to issues with the stock head. When pulling the head off I discovered a small crack in the block. Car now has a fully built & sleeved block done by RS machines, Fully Built head with cams, valves, springs, retainers and a lot more mods. Stay tuned for the new build process. Just waiting on my twin disk clutch and I can drop the motor in. Also installed a whole new fuel system.     H22 is probably one of the most underrated vtec engines out there, I'm always happy to see people use it and build it and share it

      @@AliAhmed-py1qs definitely not in my case, got 305,000kms on my h22 and it has required hardly anything aside from standard maintenance
      will rebuild it in the near future for boost

      YOSHICITY2001 people always sleeping. Once I put my new H set up in it will be even faster. I'll post a new video up in the next few weeks of the process. Aiming for 850hp on boost, then a small shot after I get everything dialed in.

    Sick Build man! Currently drive an all motor H22 EK , J.E 12:5:1, JUN CAMs and the lot and loving it until I ended up getting a low comp on cylinder 1. Planning to either rebuild the motor or go maybe B/H series turbo. From Australia a few H series around but trying to source parts for H is becoming rare af. All the good parts are from the US and Japan haha. Goodluck on the build as you've given me motivation now lol

    This makes me so happy i am right now planning at the age of 16 on my civic i have 1,5 years to go already starting saving i am going the swap a stock accord with a h22 motor and put itb's on it i am looking forward to do it but the only thing i cant find how to do the wiring job cause it seems pretty hard

      Catsmeowproduct Gaming wiring is easy only a few things have to be changed, I would recommend getting a specialist if you don’t know what your doing because you’ll be fighting bad wiring if you don’t do it right and it will become a big head ache. Good luck tho, hope all goes well will be bad ass with ITB’s

    The build looks and performs great! I painted my block, head, and trans Nighthawk Black Pearl on my forged LSVTEC before I put it in the bay with the Turbonetics 60-1. I couldn't even imagine having a built H22 in it. I would love to get a set of cams so I can have some lope at idle. So far it's made 508 whp on E85 at 16 psi and the Comp stage 3 clutch started slipping. I just installed a Clutchmasters twin-disc and I have a set of 2200cc injectors to put in at the next tune. Last engine was a bone stock bottom end B18B1 with a stock rebuild that made 412 whp on an eBay turbo with a built PR4 head. Sorry, B18B1 block, CP 9.0:1 81.5mm pistons, Eagle rods, JDM B18C Type-R head, stock cams, and WAY too many more mods to list here...lmao

    thats an older block for it being solid the newer ones tend to no have the newer coolant and missfire issues because of it.

    Should’ve ran 9.5 or 10.5:1 and increased the boost to 30 psi, that may have given your H more life.

    Was the head lifting because of the 11.5:1 ? Dang that’s high comp plus the head and block were probably milled so it must have been close to 12:1

      No ended up being a issue with my cylinder head the machine shop never caught so it wasn’t sealing properly

    I didn't read where you said what sleeves you used. You can not boost an H over 9psi max without resleeving. Aluminum blocks are not ideal for this. F22 iron blocks yes!!!!

    How do you keep your wheels on the ground? My H2B eg just spins I can't imagine having it boosted. I wouldn't go anywhere off the line.

      Buttered Toast I️ have traction bars on the front end that keeps the wheel hop to a minimum, I️ also have good suspension and a good wheel & tire set up. Sounds like you might have a issue with suspension if all you do is spin, might wanna look into getting full race or NRG traction bar & see if that will help.

    What RPM were you seeing full Boost at with that turbo and compression ratio combo I am currently in the middle of building my H series and I want to go high compression turbo but the problem is it's going to be my daily driver and I put a lot of miles on my car everyday a lot of people are trying to talk me out of going 11-5 to 1 compression ratio because of that they say that I should keep the compression around 10.0-1 if I want to see 400- 500 on pump gas for my daily tune and 700 to 800 on E85 for my race tune just trying to get your opinion on it since you have some extensive experience with the high compression turbo build on an H series

      AugustineOTC it’s custom, i took a box of piping to my homie and had him weld it up for me. Took him a few hours, picked it up same day tho.

      LatinoAD I was on a 100% stock head so it was set at 7.2k rpm. Now with my built head I should be able to rev up to 8.5k-9k rpm.

      LatinoAD stock H22a can hold up to 450hp before they start having issue with sleeves. I always say #h22ftw lol I'm going to do a reaction video with a lot off ppl once my car is back up, especially my brother 😂

    i have a a accord lx 94 sedan 5 speed with an h22 swap ..what are some things necccesary that i should do to the engine to make it run stronger and better

      luxury 21 I would say a good tune, good wiring, a good header & exhaust. If you wanna have a fast daily boost it on 6psi it will last a while if it's tuned and put together correctly

      It was the fuel system running out of volume cause of a restriction. Fought the issue for ever too

      Get it sleeved by RS machines in Cali. Or buy a closed deck h22a. Dont buy CSS stuff unless you stay under 400hp lol

      I have the fuel pressure regulator on the the feed side instead of the return side of the fuel rail so it was starving for fuel

    Nice build, but you need to learn to shift off of your limiter earlier. Engaged limit revving doesn't do anything for your speed.

      Carlos Gutierrez there are alt relocation kits you can buy that mounts it in the AC compressor location down closer to the oil pan

    you find why you have that issue with the lifting head?

      hondaegsilverarrow no I never figured out why, tried 3 different head gaskets and a few other tricks. Kept blowing coolant thru the over flow and it would spray everywhere anytime I was in boost. I wanted to strap on a built head with over size valves to see if that would fix the issue but I found the crack in the block. I went 1/2 head studs on the new block I have so we will see if it holds this time around.

    You shout talk to those boosted boiz his h22 stock sleeve with mahle pistons he run 26psi for over a year beating the hell out of it I know he is over 600hp mark along with few other parts

      Ty Hamrick plus with all the issues I had I beat the shit out of my car for 2 years blowing coolant lol. The crack in the block didn't show any issues, only found it when I took the stock head off to install the built head. I didn't want to put it back together cause the crack would have gotten worse. So I got a new block made by RS machines. It will easily handle over 1000hp but I'm not planning on going that high until I get a bigger turbo.

      Ty Hamrick good luck! you should be able to make 400hp on a stock motor, just get some springs and retainers and maybe a cam to help the air flow.

    What’s up bro I had a question which motor mounts are you using was wondering because I’m running the same exhaust manifold and I don’t have no clearance to run the exhaust under the car I see that you have you’re rad turnt mine isn’t turnt but does it make a big difficult by turning the radiator I’m also running a traction bar that bolts up to the front of my block my Instagram is PacManCao Dm me if have time want to ask you a few more questions thanks

      #Murder Civic i have an all motor how/whats needed to set up for turbo meaning catch can, tap into Oil pan for return, tap into oit feed, Valve cover pressure vent, fuel rail? Fuel return and feed into fuel tank??🤔🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️My Bottom end is Built👌 just need guidence for the turbo connections for it to run with no issue or lack of.👍🏼 Great Vid by the way got me looking into turbo my h22 Couple civic.

    All that time and money and no air screen .... waist for 9 seconds. If it even made 11s air filter

      nrs rad if your talking about my Turbo there is a screen on it, look at all the dyno videos & pics of the car you can clearly see it lol

    So how did the 11.5:1 compression and boost work for you?

      Great, it made good power with low boost numbers. Only issue I had was the cylinder head issue but later I found out it was the cylinder head I was using was the issue and the machine shop didn’t catch it when I originally had the head work done

      @@wendellgreenidge3362 yes I used arps. There was a issue with the head surface what was causing the gasket to blow out and push coolant under boost. It wasn’t discovered until I parted the car out. Wish I would of know it back then when I originally built the motor.

      @@TheShopLLC40 surprised you didn’t o-ring the block since you were running high compression and boost. I thought about running 11.5:1 pistons with boost but was to scared of the fine line in tuning a set up like that and being on pump gas because e85 isn’t everywhere here in North Carolina even to this day. Cars aren’t even using e85 like that anymore
