Hello Stefany! Your comments confuse me. When you brush your hand on the grass and claim that the blades of the grass would come up when you brush to the direction the grass is growing, it does not sound logical to me. When you brush your hand along/in the direction of the grain (the direction into which the grass is growing/leaning) your hand would simply move smoothly over the grass and would not raise the grass up I believe. I also think the browned out edge of the cup are partly a result of the cutting blade ripping grass when the cutting motion is against the direction of the grain. I think you conclusion on in which direction the grass is growing is correct however.
