Everyone wants to talk about the Steelers pushing the ball downfield and involving friermuth more, but the o'lines pass blocking is what's hindering it, as is their run blocking for najee. If the o'line play is weak, so is the offense as a whole.

It’s not about Russ’s “shot.” He’s QB1…always was. JF was the guy who needed the shot, and he only got one because Russ was injured.

You guys are forgetting that Russ is still QB1. JF is a BACKUP! That hasn’t changed, but if I’m wrong, and Russ isn’t starting by week 7, Russ’s agent, Mark Rogers, is on the phone with 4-5 teams.

Pickens just wants the rock and I don’t blame him. This run-heavy sh!t isn’t good for the Steelers. Defevses are going to keep daring JF to try beating them with his arm. That won’t happen to Russ. They’ll want Russ to prove that he can still escape and run.

He had 7 teams ready to sign him as a starter. That’s why the Steelers swooped in and stole him before he could hit the free agent market. Russ was the prize of that market.

Russ isn’t Joe Flacco. He’s still a starter in this league, and he played top-10 level football last year whether people realize it or not.
His win% and QBR sucked because his 2021 Seahawks team and Broncos teams sucked. QBR is an offensive metric. QBs with great O-Lines, great receivers, and good RBs usually have good QBRs. That’s why Dak Prescott is the QBR king. It’s a pretty useless metric by itself.
