After watching the scrimmage against Colorado Christian, this team is legit, no doubt. But the Big12 is insane. All we really know is BYU just beat Boise state 91-86 without Dallin Hall or Fousseyni Traore. Boise state is expected to win their conference and be a very good team, but that's not exactly a blowouts and again, the Big12 is insane. They're unlikely to beat Kansas, Houston, Arizona, Baylor, and Iowa State. 10 of the Big12 teams received votes in the preseason AP top 25 poll. 5th in the conference, 4th in the big dance. Make the Sweet 16.
Most of the people that are ranking or estimating point out that we really don't have enough to go on. We have enough new players, a brand new coach and new playing style, (He was in the NBA, so we have little idea what he's actually like as a college coach,) we've only had one year in the Big 12, So we don't have a pattern or culture or history of what we are like in the play of this conference... There are so many unknown things and things that could go wrong. I genuinely think we could have a Final Four team... Or a giant flop. I think that it's very possibly right that we are really powerful this season! I'm excited, and I think top three is not a bad choice! I just think that there are so many unknown things about this whole situation that I don't blame them for not knowing where to put us, and guessing us low.
No one is talking about the learning curve that KY will need to coach for a high level team in the Big 12. How will adversity be handled when it comes? There will be bumps along the way for sure.
Jerome is generally realistic, or pessimistic, about BYU’s chances. He is wildly optimistic this year. And I agree with him. I think this is going to be the best BYU team in the last 25 years.
If we are all going on your BYU football preseason rankings, I thing you guys are underestimating BYU basketball.

Any not those teams will have a hard time beating BYU at home. Some of them we only play once.
I think they are underestimating the 🏀 equal just like they did the 🏈 team. I think they finish top three.

How do I get one of those quarterback factory t-shirts?

Jarom haha
It's weird that Spencer is more reserved in record compared to Jarom. This team has the most talent that BYU has ever had.
🙂🙂🙂
This team will win the National Championship. Come back to this comment in April 2025 and “like” the comment.
After football wins the championship
@@cbphoto87 could you imagine? I'll have to look up if the same team has every won football and men's basketball championships in the same year
University of Florida won both in 2006.
Otherwise, 10 schools have championships in both, but not the same year.
