I'm done with William. The flashbacks to his life in "Ghouli" and "My Struggle IV" made him incredibly difficult to like at all. He was a stranger to me and all of my emotional investment was through Mulder and Scully but even that wasn't enough. The X-Files definitely did not need want a teenager with X-Man powers as part of the show on a full-time basis. I want William to slink off into the darkness in self-imposed exile like almost every other genetic mutant that has appeared across The X-Files' 11 seasons. So I am quite happy that Mulder and Scully realised they had to let the little pain in the ass go. They can finally move on with each other and their new normal, healthy baby and raise it in a live free of conspiracy.
She was 54 at the time of conception and infertile. That's no healthy baby she's carrying. Most likely it's another experiment. Carter is a dick. I don't blame Anderson for walking away.
Thanks for this video! It greatly diminishes the burden of the terrible speech that Scully had to pronounce before the loss of William. CC how could you !? I I hope he never thinks of putting his -bad scriptwriter hands- on this other miracle baby.
I know right? I am still in shock over what he did. Unfortunately some life issues kept me from watching it when it came out in 2018, but I'm going through the series all over again and am almost there. Looking forward to it and dreading it. Argh! Still my favorite show ever.
Valerie, don't get me wrong I think that would of been a happy ending but it's not as it is tainted with Mulder not being the father of William but CSM is 😝 and William has been thrown away like he meant nothing to them and is out there all alone 😭😭
I was done with William when he was a baby. While I think his story as a teen was stronger in Ghouli, his stubbornness and plain brattiness was awful in my struggle IV. I think it’s good he wasn’t portrayed as level headed like his birth mother, but I just found the writing done here was almost throw away and the new baby was too forced. I honestly would have preferred a more tragic ending with a bitter sweetness in there. Let’s say Mulder was actually killed! 😮😮 and then it is William who kills the Smoking Man by spontaneous combustion. And then he reunites with Scully and you learn the Smoking Man lies about him being the father of William. It would be learned Mulder was the true father. I just feel that would have been a stronger ending here. I don’t know, maybe fans would hate me more than Carter for that. I just feel there was potential for strong ending...
Hey there, I completely understand your feelings and your view, it's been a long time deterioration of the writing that culminated with this ending. You are right, it's been there since WIlliam was a baby or even before and Carter lost oportunity after oportunity to make it right and I don't mean here with "a reunion" ( though I confess I wouldn't deslike that), but I agree that a tragic end would be better than revealing a pregnancy at that stage and timing, Concentrating on WIlliam would be enough. That said, I think MS4 and the revival had many problems, it was not only the ending. The development of the characters, the lack of dialogue that actually made sense, the decisions to reset the show. So yeah, the writing could've been better, even if like some fans say that CC should have stuck to his original ideas and had to change to bring new audiences, well, the moment he accepted to change, he accepted the resposibility that comes with it to write something in that new path, and imo it's a weak decision to deny all the things that happened and start a new plot, which happened over and over again... this is not just a case of having small mistakes in the continuity, that we fans mostly forgive, this is about leaving everything for the fans to decide, William, for example, on one hand has a horrible character, with two girlfriends, playing horrible taste pranks, crashing cars with his mind but on another, at the end he saves Mulder and he cares about Scully... It's hard to identify with a character like this or even to care about him, let alone to like him. Either you take one side or the other. You have to accept he is a criminal and maybe try to excuse him based on the fact he was not raised by M&S, or on his teenage years and the fact that he was deeply confused with his powers, Just, not everyone is so forgiving and at the end it's complicated. I guess that such decisions are harsh on a fandom that was waiting 15 years to meet a character. I mean, he didn't need to be an angel, but crashing cars ???? Well, so... I myself, thought I'd kind of delete his bad character traces out of my mind, so that I can focus on his positive side, but I really can't blame whoever don't care for him anymore,
XFyellowbee Yeah, the moment Cater chose to negate the original mythology with the twist of major conspiracy and then also explaining William’s origin (I didn’t mind that as much). I just didn’t like how the handled William’s character. I was fine with him having powers but even that is confusing because in the 9th season Spender gave him a shot of magnitite which I thought was a weakness. They even said he was cured but that people would still seek him out. (Just another bad writing problem). I think what I disliked most the senseless killing of major characters like Skinner who had a decent role in the revival and Reyes, Who was horribly written throughout the revival. I also disliked the forced new baby. That didn’t make sense to me at all. I would have preferred the ending i mentioned with William at least trying to redeem himself and get to know his birth mother all while Scully exposed the conspiracy, which she appeared to before going after Mulder and William with Skinner. That ending would have made sense to me. As a fan of the series I love the stand alone episodes the best, but I think revival needed more mythology and a better balance which I think could have improved the revival.
@@seanyonthemic Absolutely, poor Skinner and Reyes, and let's not even get into CSM being WIlliam's father, Mulder turning into Chuck Norris and all those exploding heads.... Sighs... such a great show didn't deserve such a bad ending, assuming this is the end.
XFyellowbee me too, me too 😢 And the absolute worst thing about it is how she seemed to just write off Will like he didn't matter anymore and we all know how that makes NO SENSE with Scully's character and what we've seen her go through for years. If they would've only done what you've shown here, I could've lived with it! To me it was not much different than if Mulder got shot and Scully was like, "that's ok, we were never meant to be any way- I love Skinner now" geezus!
I know Snakey... I know... I have no idea what made them think that that choice of words was ok... I have no idea how they could edit that that way... I have no idea how that MS4 ended up approved to be aired, there are so many problems on it, .... talking about Skinner, poor Skinner under that car...
XFyellowbee 😣poor Skinner- it's still hard to even think about. It's like no one even read the script except Carter. kudos to you for making something we can live with! I hate that we have to rewrite the end to our favorite show just to not cry 💔 Great job on this edit!
Nice as this is? Most of us KNOW Will is alive, as she was connected to him. So she knows as well. We didn't really need it spelled out for us! That's why I love Chris Carter! :)
Penny, the audience knows that William is alive, because he comes out of water, Scully probably knew because she had a connection with him, but honestly, it was not 100% clear what she was feeling by looking at her reaction only ( I guess later CC confirmed that in an interview). Mulder also didn't know that Will is alive and the dialogue doesn't make it clear to him, Scully's choice of words is horrible, unforgivable to let the character go with such dubious words in her mouth. but as it was not enough it also sandwiches the pregnancy reveal there making it feel as if they are trading one kid for the other. So, I, as a long fan of the show, I found the writing lacking and the many decisions taken in Season 11 very out of touch with the fandom. That's great that you love CC, good for you. I want to let very clear that I don't have anything personal against him, I don't know him, all I know is what I see on the show and what he says in this interviews, but as a writter and director he could have done much better. I made this video, because a friend and I wanted to see how if feels when Scully lets Mulder know that Will is alive, that he will look for them and then have a pregnancy reveal that doesn't look like an exchange of a kid for another. That's all this video is about.
Yeah, those two scenes definitely needed some breathing room for sure. I think the pregnancy was sorta shoehorned in at the end for shock value. It looks like Scully was about to tell Mulder in that first scene before she got the call from Reyes, but decided not to because she knew Mulder had to go find their son.
This is why it was a typical cliff hanger! I know DD & CC would do more, and I could see it going on with William. It those fans that say Scully just didn't care about William that I don't understand. It's clear on her face she is heart broken and I do believe she'll tell Mulder soon enough. So, yes your video portrays that, for those who didn't see it themselves.

This is such a better ending!! Thanks, I needed this❤
Heather Lopez thanks. So much better than the real one. Not that pathetic dialogue about never being a mother/I am not a father that CC gave us.
This is canon now, the end, and thank you for doing god's work here.

Omg, I'm stuck at work and have so many feels over this!!!
How come the fandom can do a better job with these characters than its creator can? #FUCC
This scene always makes me feel emotional... I wish this was the ending and the sad part is we will never know the outcome 😭💔
Chelle they have the baby and live happily until proven otherwise!
So long season 12 doesn't happen, the outcome is good :)!
Valerie, don't get me wrong I think that would of been a happy ending but it's not as it is tainted with Mulder not being the father of William but CSM is 😝 and William has been thrown away like he meant nothing to them and is out there all alone 😭😭
100% agree, it was so unnecessary
yes, it was a devastating end... actually I edited this so that I found a less painful way to watch it, because the full scene is really unbearable.

Uhg, this scene still causes me pain but this is MUCH better!! 😍
oh Snakey... the full scene is devastating, I made this because I was getting depressed every time I watched the original one...lol

YES! Just a little bit of dialogue editing on this scene would have made it received much better. I guess no one gets to look over CC's writing.

Keep going
When you call someone.
An Tay felt bad write in front of Mike's house.
Chris Carter really is a one trick pony. Treds the same ground over and over. Some fresh ideas could have made this so much better.
guau me impacto el final haber q trae la nueva temporada
