麻績から先の12号を走ったことは無いのですが、「アルプス展望道路」と言われるだけあって、チラチラ見える北アルプス（白馬連峰かな？）が綺麗です。信州新町へ降る道以外は道幅もあり、気持ち良いワイディングランが楽しめそうです。機会があれば5月頃走って見たいですね。

この道は行ったことがないですが、国道403号と国道19号を繋ぐ県道の一つですね。割と走りやすそうな道路ではありますけど、一部すれ違いがキツそうな狭隘区間があったりして、完全な快走路という訳にはいかないみたいですね…。
