When she asked him about the reason for taking the drug again, you could see one his eyes de absolute horror in the realization of the huge mistake he made. He knew the answer and she forced him to finish what he started. The break on his voice when he asked the question and looking at her and his father clearly shows the magnitude of his betrayal. Wonderful scene
wonder what she felt more betrayed by, Lee exposing her drugs/cancer to defend Baltar or Dad voting to acquit when he would have been the swing vote to convict
Well , I'm not a lawyer but even if Lee Adama was asked by president Roselin to finish what he has started. It changes nothing and by her taking Kamala it still has halucinogenic properties , so that being said. Still affects her credibility as a witness anyway. I wouldn't loose sleep over it. That's my humble opinion.
@@betopatino5114, not to mention that Balter, Zarak, and possibly others during the election in 'Lay Down Your Burdens' will state that Roslin violated the law and tried to steal the election, which Geata, despite his testimony/vengeance against Balter, will have to admit, which only paints everyone's credibility as untrustworthy from Roslin/Adama's side.
Roslin literally saved her career by revealing the fact that she has cancer the next moment when lee exposed that she is on kamala! My god she is really great at this
this has no legal basis because she was allowed to speak outside of witness questioning. He did not have to ask any further questions and the witness literally leading her own question is against the very basis of court procedure
"Don't do this Apollo." Ma'am, that man sacrificed a whole Battlestar, which was (arguably) the Fleet's most precious asset in terms of warfighting capabilities. I don't think he's above continuing his line of questioning.
Actually, Bill Adama is a greater asset than the Pegasus. Lee Adama is a fighter pilot who got handed the keys to his father's battlestar. Would humanity have survived with Lee at the helm of the Pegasus?
@@dukebanerjee4710 "Handed the keys to his father's Battlestar". I don't recall Adama ever commanding the Pegasus (a Battlestar that had gone through three different COs prior to Lee). And Lee was the best choice at the time given his experience coupled with his actions during the Cylon's ambush that saw the Pegasus back to the Fleet safely. And the question of whether or not humanity would've survived without Adama and Galactica isn't one that can be easily answered since there's so much about that scenario that can't be answered.
@@Mobius_118 I think they were partly referring to the Razor plotline where Bill Adama transferred his flag over to the Battlestar to observe his son during the First Hybrid arc that was very personal for Adama during the last stages of the first Cylon War. The problem is that IF the show wasn't based on Galactica, it would have been more logical to sacrifice the old ship to allow the Pegasus to remain in play to enable the Colonials to retain their fighter factory inside the more up-to-date Battlestar yet save Bill Adama in the process.
How well done was this show? You forget that this trial is taking place on a hunk of metal flying through space with no real idea of where they’re going to end up.
This was so heartbreaking. Those two had something special at the start and he really broke it here. Lee was a lost soul in general but this felt a little like he had resentment toward Roslin for her closeness to his father. First she needed him and he believed in her enough to go against his father, the military and follow her guidance. Once she became close with his father she didnt need him anymore. I think Lee felt used or maybe jealous that she didnt come to him anymore once she had his father’s ear directly.
What I love most about this scene is the little smirk Romo Lampkin does after Roslin says she was taking Camalla Extract. It's like "Lee knows what he's doing".
No, not frakking up. He did his job well. Roslin was prejudiced against Baltar (for obvious reasons), and religious visions have no place in a courtroom. Baltar was not a good man, but he deserved justice. And justice he got, thanks to Lee Adama.
Medical confidentiality only applies to health care workers... Dr Cottle could not be legally forced to disclose her medical information , but there's nothing stopping an attorney asking you about it... If your health impacts your ability to testify then ofc you can be probed about it
In virtually all circumstances a doctor (medical/psychological) will keep your info private, but when you are a witness in a criminal trial, a lawyer can ask you anything. You don't always have to answer.

4:50 the timing of that tear appearing on her cheek is so perfect

One of my favourite scenes from the entire show. The acting, the script, the pacing, the direction... All of it. Thank you so much for uploading.
Rule 1 of being an attorney: Never ask a question you don't already know the answer to.
Ed Nowlin
I feel like by the time he asked it, he knew
He used it to ruin the credibility of the witness

Yes, you can see the hurt on her face!! Great acting i felt so sorry for her
I didn't, she was on drugs and making decisions for the entire human race.

ok but she looks so fraking beautiful in this scene I could barely keep focus lmao
This is the saddest scene ever because it shows that the bond and trust between Laura Roslin and Lee “Apollo” Adama was broken.

Laure did that answer your question mr Adama
Can you upload the intergation scene between roslin&gaius?
Nothing like a good kill.
that lawyer was one hell of a side character
Hopefully we don't take Kamala.
Thankfully, we did not. 🎉
I trust you all.
Bill seems so sad😢
What episode?!!
Season 3 Crossroads part 1.
I lik this scene because maid president out smart Lee
You can look on Lee face i forgot that your cancer was supposed to be a scerct
Lee think he can outsmark the president
Kamela extract
Lee frakking up...again...
I mean, he did deliver a pretty great speech about justice after this, so he sort of made up.
Still mad about him sacrificing the Pegasus though.

Laure want to keep her province
You can look on Laure face please honey dont do this

Medical confidentiality??? Especially from the president...
What are you talking about? If a witness is taking drugs that cause them to hallucinate, it's quite relevant and a perfectly valid thing to ask them

How is this a bad look for Lee? He wanted to discredit her, and that's what he accomplished. The reason she is taking it is irrelevant.
I hated Lee sad that he started out a decent character to become so horrible.
Rosyln takes kamala... starts acting like Kamala - minus the cackle
I hated Laura in BSG.
Laura Roslin... proably the worst character in the entire series. Almost ruined BG for me.
