- Plants vs. Zombies is a game about planting plants. Like a lot of them. Even the game tells you to do it, but what if we ignore that? Would it be completely impossible to progress through the game or would you need to simply hope to get lucky and eventually beat the game this way? Today, I’m doing the Highlander challenge. There can only be one of each plant at once. This means ONLY 1 Puff-shroom in Night, 1 Lily Pad in Pool, and so on. Can you still beat the game?

I have played PvZ Heroes which can also be called PvZHeroes abbreviated to PvZH part of the PvZ franchise but this game has Heroes, it is a Card Game, more specifically a Collectible Card Game, which is called a CCGS as well, it has Plants, Zombies to fight, Plants versus Zombies is a great franchise so I love it, Plants vs. Zombies is also another name since some people include the dot, Plant vs. Zombies is another name when you forget, Plants vs Zombies is the one without the dot, Plant vs Zombie is dumb idk who forgets both plural forms, just call me RCCH, but you might know me as RCCHGaming, or RCCHGaming123 from Minecraft and Roblox, and PvZTryhard calls me RCC, but FryEmUp or Fry Em Up calls me RCCH or just call me RC I now play Brutal mode which is hard mode made harder also called pvz beta mode but also hard mode harder which is pvz plus harder also known as PvZ+ and I love it's so hard it's a difficult version sometimes it's Kaizo hard yay metadata finished

Funnily enough, it's entirely possible on the Zomboss fight, but other than that, yea nah, some level might be possible on top of my head is the first 3 Day levels, 2-1 because there's a whole video about beating 2-1 with NO plants and maybe a few Fog level with Cattail but yeah, nah
@@snipidyclips4736 Depends. All 1 flag levels are beatable with only one tyle, (maybe some later night leveles because of gravestones) BUT if you can shovel that plant and change the tyle then it's possible.
@@Exter_15Theoretically, couldn't EVERY level be doable with only one tile, if you got lucky enough to have everything spawn in one lane? By 1-7 you already have Snow Pea, so couldn't the higher density still be beatable?

I legit thought it meant 1 of each plant per the whole Adventure mode. I can't lie, I thought it was impossible, and I'm now realizing there wouldn't be enough plants really, but I somehow still thought this mf could do it. I really just expect it at this point.

Well.
There are 8 levels per world (x-5 and x-10 don't count), so subtracting 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3 (Since they're tutorials) gives us 42 levels.
Let's assume that RNJesus is on your side, so that you only need 1 attacking plant per row. There are 5 rows per level. (Excluding Pool and Fog)
You would need 210 attacking plants in total. That's assuming none of them get eaten.
In the Suburban Almanac, there are 6 rows of 8 plants, giving us 48 plants in total. Of those, 18 are not attacking plants (including instant-use plants like cherry bomb as attacking plants)
Now, we add 2 additional lanes for Threepeater, Gloom-Shroom, Cherry Bomb, Melon, and Winter Melon, which gives us 40 total protected lanes. Starfruit gives us 44 lanes protected, and Cob Cannon and Cattail give us 5 and 6 lanes respectively. 55 lanes.
That leaves us with 155 unprotected lanes, plus 16 additional ones for Pool and Fog. He would be 171 lanes short of completing the challenge. This is, of course, the very best-case scenario. 5 lanes per level gives us 34 levels he cannot beat, with 1 lane in the previous level unprotectable.
I thought it meant if he used a pea shooter 1-1 he can’t use it for the rest of the run

I have a great idea for a challenge: A smart zombie AI mod!
The zombies are smart enough to change lanes on their own to dodge and/or to target the most important plants! Meaning zombies could walk around wallnuts. Or the zombies would send all themselves in an undefended lane to ensure zombie victory.
I can say this would be hard to make and extremely hard to beat(unless there are changes to game mechanics) but cool idea

LONG TEXT ALERT: Ask questions if you want, as this explanation and idea will be long.
This seems mildly simple. Basically, plants are ranked like chess pieces, using numerical values, and class of use. Projectiles are put in a lane list, with each lane having a list in the background showing how many Projectiles are in X lane. The zombies could use that information (with the AI) to infer which lane has the least Projectiles, least overall value of lanes, and overall weakest team class (lane) of plants, and calculate all that up to move based on said calculations. Zombies could also sacrifice themselves for another lane to have a better chance of getting brains.
Additional stuff:
-Zombies would detect how much damage a plant will do based on their positions, and if it is worth to eat that plant and risk an early death, or a payoff.
-AI could have different levels of calculations and a customization menu.
Basic, Smart, and Overly Complex
-Zombies could move backwards, based on calculations. Would be on Overly Complex mode or Custom Options.
-Pool Zombies can get in and out of the pool as many times as they want.
-Zombies can go through plants (walking past) with Custom Options.
-Catapult Zombie can move when fits, and targets the most important plants.
-Ladder Zombie can pick up his ladder as many times as he likes. (Smart Mode)
-Dolphin Zombies Dolphin still exists, and can either stay as a Zombie, or be continously ridden on (Smart and Complex respectively)
Other Zombies with more than just eating and moving would be smarter too, with their weapons/Projectiles/gimmicks/.

Theoretically you can beat 1-1 with just one Peashooter. But unlike 1-2, the level will not continue even if you just plant 1 peashooter. So if this restriction doesn't exist, it's possible to beat it.
I'd play the 2nd peashoort on the column closest to zombies, so that it gets eaten immediately, then you only have one
@@hyperfairy7779 you still have another plant in another row though. Even if it's going to be eaten, it'll affect the zombies to stop and that counts as stalling. So therefore it still broke the challenge rule.
I hope that you'd also do Second Adventure by strictly only using Dave's chosen plants.

JChen also proved that 2-1 is beatable without any plants whatsoever. obviously requires crazy luck to get, but it can be done and is fully 100% possible.

This challenge looks like if every plant was unique, they cant have clones of themselves, so you can only have one of each plant and they're able to move around the map to defeat the zombies.
*I've been waiting for someone to do this kind of challenge, and finally someone did it, This is kind of hard and easy at the same time*
Fantastic video! I'd love to see a similar challenge, too; a PvZ Nuzlocke! When a plant dies to a zombie, it's dead for good for the remainder of the run! Keep the plants alive as much as possible?

A challenge idea I've had that I think would work well for your challenge series is: Can You Beat PVZ 1 if You Can Only Plant Right of the 4th Column. That means the first 4 columns are off limits and NOTHING can be planted there. Curious to see what that would entail.

yeah to nerf puff shroom you'd likely have to target not just it's damage like expanded does, but also it's ridiculously fast recharge

there's not really any way to fix seashroom tho, because zombies only spawn in the pool later on, having a free attacker really isn't a big deal, not to mention it doesn't help stall gargs either since there's no swimming garg (which is a massive missed opportunity tbh)
so puff shroom and sea shroom are both conceptually fucked but in completely opposite ways

i have a weird and i think easy idea for a PvZ challenge. PvZ Aventure Mode, but your loadout must only contain the latest 6-7 plants you earn throughout the level. so like, if you reach the first "choose your seeds" level, you're not allowed to choose the oldest plant that you got in the previous levels, which means in 1-7, no peashooter, 1-8, no peashooter and sunflower, 1-9, no peashooter, sunflower, and cherry bomb, etc. for extra difficulty, don't buy any additional seed packets throughout the entirety of the run
if you play this video on double speed at 10:05 at 1080p, the football zombies match the frame rate and look like they are just gliding down the lane

Ich just found your channel and I am very happy with it. Good cotent. However I have one thing to criticise: If you speed up 4-10 as much as you do, consider giving an epilepsy warning because of all the rapid flashing.

Great challenge. But I think multiple uses of the cherry bomb and similar plants should be forbidden! Also the double sunflower shouldn’t be allowed together with the single sunflower.

Ironically, the answer is yes and without save scuming, and it is quite easy, assuming the zombie density is the same as in vanilla pvz. In 1-1, you can easily stall zombies for the mower to clear final wave due to how fast waves get sent. The game waits for you to get 2 peashooters so you get infinite sun. In 1-2, the 2 sunflower trick and stalling will get you past. In 1-3, you get a cherry and you can actually kill gargs now. Then, in 1-4, you get a free row (gargs do not spawn in the top lane) for sun producers. By the time 2 flag levels arrive, you have snow pea, so you can stall and only need one instant per zombie while your top row takes care of sun production.
Then pool levels make it even easier by giving you 2 extra rows and more plants.

If I had a nickel for every time a difficult challenge was impossible due to 1-1 I'd have 2nickels which isn't alot but it's weird that it happened twice

Just a challenge suggestion here are you able to win pvz1 without losing more than 10 plants (any plant limit like pvz2)
you can beat it without losing any plants all the way up to 5-10 and im not exactly sure how you can beat 5-10 without losing plants

suggestion: you can only use 5 different types of plants throughout entire adventure mode
Haven’t watched the video, but I’m assuming no, since all plants in roof levels need flower pots, and with the exception of doom shroom, ice shroom, cob cannon (which needs 2 flowerpots), and cattail (which requires water), no plants can hit all 5 lanes.
Imagine if they modded PvZ to allow all plants to be used in a level, but only once (so after a plant dies, is used, its out)

Oh I thought this was a “can use a plant once for the entire campaign” challenge, so it’d come down to when do you use a peashooter since you wouldn’t be able to use it ever again, but this is far more manageable

You don't need to worry about the first level, it's a tutorial and not a normal level.
Idk why I thought this challenge was essentially trying to complete every level with only one type of plant lol that would be fun to try though

hey rcch, what about you trying to beat the "No plant loss" challenge. The mechanism of this is like in pvz 2, you cannot shovel plants nor get any plants eaten or destroyed by the zombies.

Flower pot is a plant (look at the Almac), and in 5-1 you only have those you already there cause you do not have the plant unlocked. So you have to beat it with 1 flower pot 😅

You also have to shovel up the flower pots really quickly since you automatically start with several lanes of flower pots.
I think since he didn’t have flowers pots in 5-1 he should be allowed to use the free ones, as you can’t defend 5 lanes with 1 pot
