- JUDY LUDY AND PUPPET COOK! EP 8 || Smash Burgers with Triple Cheese!
In this episode, Judy prepares one of Puppet’s favorites - the classic smash burger - loaded and melted with two kinds of cheese - sharp cheddar and horseradish cheddar!
Let’s begin…
STEP 1: INGREDIENTS (7) + SHOPPING LIST
1. One (1) 16 oz (1 pound) package @Snakeriverfarms519 beef or ground beef of your choice
2. Diner style plain hamburger buns
3. 1 part Mayo @Hellmannsmayonnaise + 1 part Horseradish sauce
4. Stone Ground Mustard
5. 2 slices Horseradish Cheddar
6. 2 slices Baby Swiss
7. Red Beefsteak tomato slices
STEP 2: EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Frying Pan or hot griddle
Flipping spatula
Spreader
Burger press or pot lid (to smash burgers and melt cheese)
STEP 3: PREPARE BURGER AND COOK
o Once griddle is hot, slap pattie down, and leave it down to form crust
o Cook 2-3 minutes depending on thickness of patty
o Flip
o Cook 2-3 minutes on this side…during this time, add cheese of your choice
o Cover with lid to melt cheese
STEP 4: Add buns to absorb burger grease!
STEP 5: Remove and place burger on bun
STEP 6: Dress burger with tomato, mayo on other side of bun

How do you prevent the cheese from sticking to the press?
@troynorth4079 Great question! Since the press is initially used to flatten the burger, the burger grease combined with the fat in the pan, keeps the cheese from sticking to the press. Additionally, the press has indents crafted into it, that also prevents the cheese (or burger for that matter) from sticking to it....enjoy!
