A bit of context. The team pretty much spent 4 hours of repeated failure using non meta builds; fatigue built up the whole time causing to not performing optimally this time. Should have been manageable but due to bad cave gen and tight nitra count for each stage, we went back to fire comp and finally win
Oh, I just finished this EDD! The first try was failed 'cause there was a greenbeard who double dipped right before the bossfight on the 1st stage. This doomed us to death on the 2nd stage due to ammo starvation. I played driller with Combustive Goo Mix Sludge Pump + Heavy Hitter EPC, so it was really heavy problem. The second try was succesful, I took Crystal Nucleation Cryo Cannon + Blistering Necrosis Colette. This combo was handy AF against both singe lough targets & swarms. And I killed a lotta nexuses (or nexI? crazy latin etymology) without summoning a lotta spawns. Also, what the track is playing at the 1st stage right after exiting the drop pod?
Yeah, nitra deprivation will be the main cause of a failure this EDD, especially on modded difficulty. Even the cave generation this week is against players. Also, music is "Aggressor" from White Bat Audio
I’ve only ever soloed elite deep dives. Seems like it’s harder with more players. On console most players are pretty bad, the times I tried it with randoms ended in disaster. This week was easy. First stage being the hardest for me because I couldn’t find any nitra.
Game definitely is easier on solo. What makes the solo tedious are the mission types. And yes, first stage this week is bad. low nitra count with swarmageddon ain't fun at all.
I always see this when watching high difficulty gameplay, why leave the breeder nexus alive? I'd rather defeat them early on to prevent them from swarmageddon my ass in big waves.
we only kill breeder and not many nexuses because jellies are 10x more annoying to deal with than swarmers, furthermore, this biome is riddled with swarmer anyway so i would lay down sticky often to cover for them. Ignoring the nexuses save time and ammo since nitra was the biggest concern on first and second stage. the only time we kill nexuses are when we're holding a spot for a long time (Salvage) or we get plenty of nitra for resupplies.

the moment i was back in being a fire driller, we won in first try.
Yeah, cryo and sludge ain't enough with this nitra deprived EDD
Pardon for the amount of swearing this time, this EDD was lowkey annoying to do.
All good. The entire team was exhausted after 4 hours of failure lol
Okay so it wasn’t just me who had nitra problems on the first two stages. That seems to be a common sentiment this week.
Yeah, nitra starvation plus the weird cave gen made this EDD much more difficult

@@MoonLightOri Sounds reasonable, thanks for answering .
