to my knowledge, what is 'expert' vs what is 'super expert' depends on how many peopel tried it, and never finished, not how many times people failed it. so basically, even if there are a lot of fails on the spot the difference level, as long as people kept trying, they are guaranteed to win eventually.
In addition to what the others said, you can also go back and speedrun it once you know the path. This could even end up in Normal with all of the people watching this video and going straight to the end without ever failing.
There's also the fact that if you exit a level without ever dying (e.g. play through the whole level, pick the wrong path, and then pause and exit) you won't be counted as a play, and as far as I know won't influence the difficulty.

That's funny how I don't struggle with the same spot the difference as the ones panga does... For instance I found the thumbnail one almost instantly, but struggled a bit more on the previous one. I think I'm more receptive to colorful pixels while panga is more receptive to bright pixels (i.e. I can easily differentiate green and red at the same brightness whereas panga struggles a bit more on that, whereas panga can more easily differentiate gray and white than me)

I agree spot the difference is just seeing at the right place. I spot the first one after the first cp quite easily, but not others except for the last one.
Nintendo should have fostered a community around comments. Upvote/downvote comments which effect how likely they are to show up, and give the updoots as points to people with cosmetic rewards. In short, give players tools and incentives to combat the hot garbage, and make the game a better place for all. Or, you know, remove the ability to download levels and make hidden block levels and secret code/combination levels impossible. That's cool too.
That _Spot the Difference_ level is major boo for me. The colors are too similar for my viewing environment. The reflections off the TV make it impossible.
Panga was complaining about spot the difference a few times by now, so he deserves today's spot the difference level. It's like all the spot the difference levels have decided to pool together and get revenge on Panga. I have a very active imagination.
I don't understand why people don't just cross their eyes when doing spot the difference (just like the "magic eye" 3d thing), they will line up and your brain will instantly notice the difference. Maybe my IQ is just 160..
