Just bought my anniversary ZX4RR on 04/13. Its at the dealership waiting for spark plugs to do the recall, so I'm living vicariously through you right now. This bike makes me so happy. I'll keep it for the rest of my life. The sound is just intoxicating.
I'm 70 and have had my ZX4RR for a year now. I got 6800 miles out of the rear tire. I put on a set of Micheline Road 5's on it and it handles better. I put a steering stabilizer on it also. Lowered the hight down an inch, got a fender eliminator and a TST rear tail light with turn signals. Also an after market exhaust. I think I'm done modding. I might get it tuned this winter. This bike is addictive. Be for warned.

It's a beautiful bike congratulations. Kawasaki should have gave it an aluminum frame and it would have got the weight down a lot more. Steel is not a bad thing. Even steel bicycles are engineered to have a lively ride. Smaller tubing in the right places for flex. Thin wall can be lighter and less bulky. Also less weld cracking in the steering head like the Gixxer 1000. Ride a fine steel bike then ride a stiff aluminum bike. You'll feel it right away.
