aaju nikunja manju bicha piyu ko, pyari nija kara karati singaar
(Today, in a beautiful secluded kunj in Vrindavan, Shri Radha is adorning Shyamsundar with Her own hands)
raakheu shyam sada ruchi mori,
(Shri Radha says, "O Shyamsundar! You have always fulfilled my slightest wish")
aaju chaah upaji ura thori,
("Today, I have a desire in my heart..")
tumahin banaun naval kishori,
("...to dress You as a young maiden")
jasa tava ruchi tasa kariye kishori, haun ruchi daas tihaar
(Shyamsundar replies, "O Kishori Ju! Do as You wish. I am simply a servant, who fulfills Your every desire")
meli phulela sughara vara veni,
(First, She plaited His hair into a braid after applying perfumed oil in His hair)
sumana alankrita ati sukha deni,
(Then, She adorned that braid with flowers that brought joy to the heart, with their color, form and fragrance)
janu ali avalina amita niseni,
(The long braid gives the appearance of a lagger made of a swarm of countless black bees)
sheesh-phool janu ravi suhaag ko, prakatyo hai tanu dhaar
(The beautiful red flower ornament that She places just above His head, appears as if the sun of 'suhaag' itself if rising from the black ocean of His hair)
motina maang rachi mana bhaee,
(The parting of His hair is decorated with an enchanting string of pearls)
mriga-mada tilaka bhaal chhavi chhaee,
(The beautiful tilak on His forehead is delicately scneted with deer-musk)
madhya bindu kumkum sarasaee,
(The red circular 'bindi' in the centre of His forehead has a generous amount of saffron)
shravanana tarala-tarona jhalakata, bhaaun lajavata dhaanu-maar
(Enchanting flower-shaped earrings are swaying and glittering on His ears and the arch of His eyebrows put even the bow of Kamdeva to shame)
chanchala naina sahaja kajaraare,
(His mischevious eyes are naturally black at the rims)
taame anjana ruchira sanvaare,
(They have been further beautified by the application of collyrium)
besara sughara naasika dhaare,
(A 'besar' is dangling down from His nose)
laal-adhar-laali lakhi laali, ura aananda apaar
(The redness of His full lips brings joy to the heart of Kishori Ji)
jarina kinara neel pata saari,
(He is wearing a blue saari with a golden border)
ura angiya kusumbi rang vaari,
(His blouse is the color of orange safflower)
dai anchala pata hansati nihaari,
(Kishori Ji is covering Her mouth with the end of Her saari and laughing with joy at this beautiful sight)
dulari-kundana lari-motiyana, vividha maniana ura haar
(There is a double garland of jasmine flowers, strings of pearls and necklaces of various jewels adorned on His chest)
manimaya balaya churi kara sohai,
(Beautiful jewelled bracelets and bangles adorn His hands)
ratana-khanchita pahuchi mana mohai,
(The 'pahuchi' on the back of His hand, which is studded with jewels, enchants the heart)
paani arunima mehendi ko hai,
(His palms have been reddened with henna)
nagana jatita kara angurina mundarina, chandra lajaavani haar
(The lustre of the jewelled rings on His fingers puts the moon to shame)
naabhi sarovara trivalina dhaara,
(The three creases in His slim waist look like three streams and His navel, like a pond)
kati tanu jaghana vishaala sudhaara,
(His waist is thin and His thighs are sloped, full and firm)
kinkini dhuni suni muni mana haara,
(Hearing the sweet divine sounds of the kinkini on His hips, even the minds of renounced ascetics are attracted)
gaja-mada-matta lajata gati lakhi lakhi, mridu paayala jhanakaar
(His slow, swaying gait puts to shame the walk of an intoxicated elephant and the anklets on His feet are jingling sweetly)
rang bheene jaavak paga sohata,
(His feet and lightly colored with 'mihavar')
nakha duti koti chandra mana mohata,
(The radiance of His toe-nails attracts the minds of millions of moons)
nahin aghaati pyaari chhavi johata,
(Kishori Ji is not satiated, in spite of having longingly gazed at that beauty for a long time)
lakhi 'kripalu' shringaar dhaaya diya, bhaal dithauna daar
(Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, "Seeing His adornment, I immediately ran and put a black mark on His forehead (to ward off any evil eye)!")
