Hey guys, I'll post a few more videos on this topic in a few days.
Edit: at about 12:30 I say muscle memory, I meant to say muscle group fatigue which is part of the game and is covered by EA on a video here on youtube.
If your having trouble getting straight spammed to death, try the techniques in this video. You won't win em all but at least you won't get straight spammed out quick without knowing how to deal with it.
It will take some practice, I recommend test offline first against Ali with the settings on greatest of all time or have a friend try to straight spam you and work on countering to the body as shown in vid.

By the way, if you are a nice person heads up... Don't play this game live there are way too many negative boys that play this game. I noticed it's only this game. I'd say 95-97 percent of the boys that play this have absolutely nothing nice to say at all. It's very bizarre...

I won the heavyweight title by a close decision a few years ago but, a power spammer wanted to fight me and I was stripped of the belt so that was my short rain as champ. These power spammers has become a epidemic of great proportions.

Glad it helps. Making vids is not my thing but I hate seeing all the people trying to have fun with the only real boxing game only to face a barrage of spam that runs them off. The straight got put way out of control with a tuner update years ago making it way too powerful but there are counters. I'm pretty busy but will try to make more. I only play two games and this is one of them, thus I have experience. I used to record my fights and play back in slow motion and took notes when I did something good or something bad so I could work on it.
You can use your fight replays from the main menu in MY CORNER after an off or online fight as well. You can learn a lot from that as well.

Hey bro I just ran into ridiculous spam, the one, two, combo jab body straight head. But dude was hella good with it. Super fast and power for days. I am a heavy 89 ovr inside fighter pretty good on defense. I pumped my block, try to keep distance, leaned back when he got in. Done in the 2nd rnd.

This shit has nothing to do with boxing.I’m lighting dudes up 7/8 piece combos from every angle then got dropped by a punch that wouldn’t work in the ring.take that spam punch out .then it would be all skill

Only started playing OWC a few days ago and I was so baffled when I first came up against this, how can it be enjoyable for anyone. Looks like I’ve got a lot to learn about the bullshit on this mode.
Yeah it feels that way very often. How is it fun to spam the same bullshit exploits over and over?? I’ll never get it. One thing I’ve learned is if you know how to body spam, there’s really no stopping it. But I can’t get myself to play that way
@@Morrow45105 Jab to the head stops body spamming. You gotta be at the right distance though. Throw it as they throw to the body. A well timed uppercut also works, but not as consistent as a jab.

@@Morrow45105 No problem dude. Even if they land the body shot at the same time as you land to the head, you'll get rewarded more cause headshots score more points.
I fought 1 guy he threw 650 punches ,every single punch a str8 rights to the head lmao, I'd be bored after 5 seconds of fighting like that

Listen you have to box ..the rt + right analog blocking is no longer ,now you block automatically..but you have to make your own counters .in real life if you just sit and block something will get through
ok so i guess that is the "cheap" way of playing is using the power straight right hand i didnt know that but found it effective myself but i use that and if that isnt working i use the power left hook and as i said i also have power uppercuts so either way theyre getting hurt i use the straight right hand as a counter not leading it like this guy does..against the computer that doesnt really work but it works well seomtimes as a counter punch if youre quick enough soon as i figured that out i was knocking everybody out wihtin 3-4 rounds for sure.
Even if I'm the slower fighter I one/two until my opponent until he tires then I show off my combos in the late rounds....

Are people using rapid fire remotes for blocking, I get a lot of twitchy blockers that I can only hit when they are throwing, also seems like if people quit in time I won't get the win, I'm pose to be 34-11, all losses to cheaters tho, haven't met an honest player in years
I just got this game last month and had fun playing it offline, then I began having fun online but only 4 of my fights show even though iv fought like 20 guys. Everyone quits when im about to win and I cant figure out why my record isnt showing the wins

The right spammers ruin the game, some press it so much they come out for the next round still throwing straights from the round before lmao

not sure how he got trunks like that maybe theyre only for online players or soemthing btu anyways someone told me about some cheap way of playing or seomthing and that was using the straight right hand i guess this is it i thought i did it but i dont do this im not really sure what this guy is doing. i setup stuff with my jab and the way my guy is built he has power in both hands so i use a power straight right hand or a left hook often and my uppercuts are deadly too im a head hunter lol but i dont lead with a right hand like this guy is doing i find counter punching to be more effective for me anyways. i land alot of power punches. the oppenent is pretty beat up wihtin 4 rounds. i actually got my first ever tko today against a guy ive never had a fight stopped like that my heavyweight guy is 54-6 with 52 kncokouts and i made a middleweight whos 32-0 with 32 knockouts...this is not online against others but in the game itself by myself but i just learned how to jump wieght classes so i may do that also..i just bought the game so im pretty new to it.

It does. Try it offline, create a fighter with only a level 20 head jab then switch stance and you'll see how powerful the straight will be after changing stance.
Might be slightly less powerful but he's pretty much right.

How to deal with block spammers that won’t come out of a shell
those guys piss me off. what I do is throw a few jab combos and once ive landed about 5 decent punches I back off and just stand there. its fucking awful but they either have to attack or they just stubbornly lose the round. then i remember their tag and never fight them again
