Always was my favourite Friday/Saturday Live character. Better than loudmouth, right on, shiny suit Elton, who was a great writer but obnoxious presenter.
Its supposed to be an Anglo-Greek accent,as:Stavros is supposed to be from North London & has a kebab shop there. His Greek accent is mixed with a London one & is based on a Greek,Kebab-shop owner,called Adam:whom Harry knew.
Stavros is the voice of the British peeps innit.
In the 80s my local Cypriot chippy owner in Bedford used to do 'stavros' to entertain the customers......irony of irony😂😂😂
