Absolutely, he really gets to experiment how he wants with the Voidz and there’s less of an image to uphold I guess you could say. And that’s not a swipe at the Voidz at all, I think musically, Julian’s written his best work with the Voidz. I’d consider Human Sadness to be his Magnum Opus and I consider Tyranny a perfect album all the way through.

jesus. my brother showed me this dubbing it possibly the best voidz song in existence and i'm inclined to agree, though human sadness will never be topped to me. its criminal they havent released a studio version of this. thank you for capturing it, i was told they only played it once and thank god you had the reflex to capture it live on a side note, i have never seen a drummer so ensnared with the track he was playing as in this video
What I'd to to go to a secret show 😭 Julian's voice & energy....there is no other artist from the era of my childhood-teens who has stuck with me to this day. I was in 7th grade when Last Nite was released, and I'll be 34 in a couple weeks. I love the Strokes, but it is so incredible to see Julian really, _really_ explore in The Voidz. I feel like Alice, being led around the Wonderland that is Julian's beautiful mind.
