Funny about Popeyes, because I was in my local one (just getting food for myself) and I noticed that they had a sign saying all delivery drivers were required to check the order to make sure it was correct I recall thinking ‘Hmm… isn’t that the restaurant’s responsibility?’ and thinking how much I would not want a delivery driver pawing into my food bag to see if my fries etc were there
Brilliant video mate. As someone who works at a restaurant I also get frustrated when drivers/riders take orders from two apps. Because then we get a call from the customer complaining that food was cold or took ages. Brilliant take and interesting to hear that some riders like yourself do care about customers Much love ❤
Thanks mate! I just think restaurant staff and delivery people need to have respect for each other and also the customer. Restaurant staff need to realise the delivery people are essentially the customer themselves. The delivery people need to also have patience with the staff as they can get super overwhelmed.
Great content. I'm in Manchester on Stuart. Are you going to apply for just eat in Nottingham when they leave Stuart? I'm worried they might leave my area.
Like I guess a lot of viewers, I am a former bike courier in the two way radio non catalytic converters in the cars bad old days. No food deliveries back then. It's getting obsessive.....
What kind of milage do you put on your bike in a typical video? I'm somewhere around 30 miles in a 4 hour shift. Also what do you do between orders? Are there places to hang out that you frequent while you're waiting for an order to come in?
I applied at the start of the pandemic and I got lucky and got accepted within a week! They aren't hiring anymore in Nottingham I think because they are giving back their orders to Just Eat but I'm still getting Just Eat orders for some reason haha
Hey Jay are you going to apply to Just Eat? You could make a video about it? I think there's an employed and self employed model but not 100% sure The pros, the cons etc. Keep up the good work bro 👊
I already have a Just Eat account! It’s just locked to Loughborough and I’ve asked to move it to Nottingham or my local town but they won’t do it. I’m going to try emailing them again 👍
@@GigHustle yo dude! Brad from L.E haha. Just Eat messaged me a few days ago with a new Nottingham-Central zone opening next week (for self-employed riders/drivers). They've added it to my account. It may be worth your while dropping them a quick email or through the live chat when on an active order to see if they can assist you in adding this zone to your account. Also make sure your account details have a NG postcode address, a few L.E drivers found this same issue as they live in Derby
@@minibuildsmc Hey Brad! Funny you mention this because I actually got them to change my account to Nottingham Central just yesterday! It was locked to Loughborough but I never delivered there and I asked them for LE but they always say it's full. I might have to try it out in Nottingham but I don't know how it works. Could you send me an email (it's in the description) on how to get shifts etc? Really appreciate the heads up bro!
Cheers mate! untied.io is what I use to do my taxes and keep track of earnings/expenses. I have the pro version and it’s well worth the money especially if you have other incomes 👍
It's weird that you have to not pick up other orders, I sort of assumed that people could grab 2 deliveroo and 1 uber eat from a restaurant and then grab them all and drop at the different houses. Surely that would be more efficient than having multiple drivers and riders etc? And then whether you get a fee per minute for being available to take an order or if you only get paid for actually accepting the order and delivery.
It's not more efficient. If you have multiple orders from the same app the yes. But to have multiple orders spread over several apps all pulling you in different directions, then no. Also the customer can track you on the map, so they can see you going here, there and everywhere and are well within their rights to report you.
@@sneekz07 yeah absolutely, I get where you are coming from. To clarify I'm not a rider, just a customer, for me as long as my food arrives still warm then I don't care if a rider was to depart from my delivery to pick something up en route or to do another drop-off before mine. But I understand that as the apps don't talk to each other one could be sending you East for a pickup and the other trying to send you West...
I don’t understand some people taking long to come out to grab there food when I order food I’m watching the live location all the time lol I’ll be outside as the delivery rider will be coming around the corner I want my food ASAP lol!
That's not how it works mate. Whoever is closest to the restaurant will get given the order and if they decline it will get passed onto the second closest person.

multi apping is actually called co loading in the delivery trade mate.
Didn’t know that! Now I do haha

Deliveroo don’t have ratings for drivers/riders…not that I know of anyways haha. On Uber Eats I have 99% 👍

In my area the riders always have 7 or more orders in there bag and it's terrible if you order hot food
Is that in London? They will get kicked off the platform eventually…
No I live in stoke it's terrible where i live the only place that's not got cold food is subway
I know it happens a lot in London
