Just got turned onto her by a friend, her songs/performances are truly mesmerizing. I agree with the comments, she is an absolute treasure! Going to see her and Mike Campbell next month….
Why is this Great Performer not a recognised SuperStar? Inexplicable!-Should be declared a National Treasure! Excellent song, beautifully rendered.👍 BloodRed.🍒
This song hits me like a musical missile to the midsection. It's outstanding. Kenny Vaughn's guitar punctuates the ache of missing a loved one. Bravo Lucinda!
Cousin Kenny Vaughn.........love his playing........... he is an inspiration....... I bought a 1965 Vox Pacemaker after listening to him on a RUclips with his '65 Cambridge with Zac Childs interviewing him.......Thanks for the tip Kenny..........
I heard this song everyday on my way home from work from S Houston to Baytown back in the early 90s. Still one of my favorite songs. Thanks KPFT. no one else would play it.
Lucinda opening with her beautiful songs and soul followed by Tom Petty with his rock'in fantastic lyrics and rebel spirit....what a night of great music it was that will last a lifetime.
Saw Marty Stuart and his "Fabulous Superlatives" last year with Cousin Kenny Vaughn. Most underrated guitarist in music in my opinion. BTW the "Fabulous Superlatives" are a great band and that has to be one of my favorite band names of all time.
I seem to remember listening this 40X at 40 in the late 1990s about the year it was released. Ideal music for the eternal student and the late risers. And I like the look. The Kool is thicker than Keith ever managed
Certainly NOT Taylor Swift, even a bit more unpolished than Gretchen Wilson. Very talented, original, earthy, authentic; and has paid her dues. That is Lucinda Williams. Keep singing Lady.
Oh my God I'm a flaming heterosexual. I wear my hair like that. Holy shut what a comment. Maybe we should throw in there Robin Williams wine from good morning Vietnam talking about lesbian women as women in comfortable shoes? At least that was funny
love the tone of her & band. unfortunately when I saw her live she sang a bunch of Woody Guthrie protest songs. love albums World Without Tears and Car Wheels ...
This woman is an American treasure
Lucinda we love you keep rolling! You are a huge inspiration fighting back from that stroke.

So flawlessly raw

agree. that's Kenny Vaughn on electric guitar. Kenny is one of the Fabulous Superalitives. (Marty Stewarts Fabulous Superalitives)
she may not be a Superstar, but if you ask the Superstars who they admire, they say "Lucinda Williams"
No kidding she's been around in music for the last 4 decades most folks I know have never heard of her!
She is amongst critics and musicians and songwriters, everyone knows she’s the shit. 🎸
This tune will perk up your ears. Flows like honey.

Kenny Vaughn. A Fabulous Superlative. Indeed

Just recently turned on to her music, she is absolutely amazing!
Lucinda and Kenny Vaughn rock on!!!!!
Wow they sound great in harmony. Can you imagine what those rooms were like in Austin back in that day. The best.
Lucinda is great, as always, and that is one Hell of a great band!
an outstanding lyricist!!❤❤
Her songs about love and loss r amazing!
I heard this song everyday on my way home from work from S Houston to Baytown back in the early 90s. Still one of my favorite songs. Thanks KPFT. no one else would play it.
Lucinda Lyrics and style are like a Tattoo . Painful Permanent and mean something
Great analogy!
Yes it hurts so good!
More like a great book. Nothing profound about a tattoo.
Astonishing talent. Great American writer/performer.
perfect song
She has a mystical, magical voice🎶
Lucinda opening with her beautiful songs and soul followed by Tom Petty with his rock'in fantastic lyrics and rebel spirit....what a night of great music it was that will last a lifetime.
Love her, even though I haven’t seen her live before:)
The way you sing , your my girl ! Forever! ❤️
Absolutely beautiful

Kenny Vaughan reminds me of Velma Dinkley.
❤️
What a night! Love the lesbian hair
Oh my God I'm a flaming heterosexual. I wear my hair like that. Holy shut what a comment. Maybe we should throw in there Robin Williams wine from good morning Vietnam talking about lesbian women as women in comfortable shoes? At least that was funny
laughing out loud, like I do.
love the tone of her & band. unfortunately when I saw her live she sang a bunch of Woody Guthrie protest songs. love albums World Without Tears and Car Wheels ...
Unfortunately? Sad that you don't get it.
@@wlewisiii yeah - I was hoping to hear a bunch of stuff off those two albums. not politics.
It's just a hunch, but I think she's talking about sex....
I think she singing about getting herself off
😅
Great song but she is pitchy and out of it in this video. This is a damn sexy song with Lucinda talking about getting herself off!
nah...
90% of us don't know she is pitchy and don't care.
I think her voice his amazing. Guess I'm tone deaf...
Always pitchy.
Lucinda’s voice is ok on this. I’ve heard far flatter.
Painful artistic honesty
As the truth bleeds thru the GOP.
So I see Disney has made 'Aladdin" woke now.
Hush moron.
