That's it. When you shift your focus to God, His energy flows into your life and negative addictions will naturally fall off. That was how I overcame my teenage years struggles too.
For me i stopped this addiction in 2019 not because i was a devoted Christian, or i wanted to serve, but i believe it was all prayer intercession my mom did that yielded that very day in 2019. But after that day, i realized i have failed in my service to God completely. I smoked and did drugs for almost 10yrs and i am glad i was able to come off it. It breaks my heart when i see some of those friends i did all these with, i know 2 of them who have been in and out of rehabilitation homes.
