If the stock speakers are blown you can un-solder the OE speaker plug and put them on the new speakers. Save a $ bucks getting new harnesses.
Thanks great step by step tutorial !
I just had my left rear speaker give out, and your video was instrumental in my replacing them with some nice Infinity Reference units. Thanks for posting.
Nice video ! Do you know what is the tool you’re using to remove the back screw by the window ? The window is in the way and my socket can’t get to it
Great video man
I hate when the don’t tell u what they use to get the back screws out🤦🏾♂️ like the window not in the way
My charger has 3 speaker 2 6x9 and 1 6.5 . Should i put a 6.5 subwoofer in the middle of the 6x9? Does brand matter ?
For bass I would go with subdown
This was very helpful thank you!
I guess I'm kinda off topic but do anybody know a good place to stream new tv shows online?
@Davian Legend try Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Boston Archie Yea, been using FlixZone for months myself =)
@Boston Archie Thanks, signed up and it seems to work =) I really appreciate it!!
@Davian Legend happy to help =)
What type of socket u had the on the drill to tighten the bolts
how to actually pull the rear deck off mine won’t come off
I wonder if it would make any difference cutting out the holes in the carpet covering the rear deck speakers
I’m doing that now I know it will
@@lordleatch ok cool
@@PawlDunken man most definitely worth it sounds so much louder and clearer
What should I do if all the sound is only coming out of the right side of the back deck and nothing is coming out of the left side speaker?
so i looked this up and Metra 72-6514 doesn't come up on Crutchfield as working for a 2006 dodge charger. it shows 72-6515. any difference?
My charger comes with a 8inch sub spot do i need a mounting bracket to put it on
If adding a sub to the rear deck in the factory location, you'll want a free-air sub type, and generally a kicker 8" is a popular choice there. There is no bracket adapter, and you may also be required to self tap new screw locations.
are the wire harness the same on the door speakers too?
Yes
There is a clip on the underside of the carpeted deck lid where does that clip onto?
Tried to find a video just to see how to remove that without breaking I hate when they leave out critical parts
If my speakers come with a grill, do I just ignore them and install without them
I usually ignore the grill it wont matter regarding sound
O the good old days of just climbing in the trunk and removing four nuts to change your speakers..
Now you have to disassemble half the car to do it..🤦🤷😵,,and hopefully not break all the plastic to get the job done...
If you have airbag on the side is it the same way too or is there something else
i thought the speakers in a charger were 2 ohms..?..
yes the amp is 2 ohms, he install some weak 4ohm speakers, he did not get the memo. Should have install some Infinity Kappas they are 2ohm beast.
@@nikkodogz I got old pioneer speakers in mine, thinking about upgrading
