Playing a good chunk of my life, but finally got back into it back in October. Steel tip, but definitely don't look down on soft tip. The Granboard is a great device. I want to get one but with Dartsee coming out with a home version of their tech, I am going to hold off until then. Don't have space for 2 boards.
I started throwing several years ago, I was 16 or 17ish at the time. (I just turned 40) My mom had gotten me an electronic dart board. Fast forward several years, some friends and I started playing in a league for fun. About 4 years ago, I started to take darts more serious. I started playing in tournaments, and the past 3 years I've competed at state. 2 years ago my partner and I were level 2 state Champs in 501! May 2023, my wife and I had a baby, so after state in Feb 2023 I decided I'd take the year off to raise my 1st child. Around here there isn't much for steel tip darts, but I do have a blade 5 and a few sets of steel, I do toss around at it, but with the focus mostly on soft tip, my steel tip doesn't see much action.
hi! i have just bought grand board 3s. After watching your videos i got more interested in darts, and i always wanted a dartboard like this, is amazing. Thank you for your tips, ideas for mental focusing and comunication! regards from spain!
Hey Ironman, Been playing steel tip darts here in Scotland since I was 7 years old and at the end of the year I'll be 40, I'm debating on wether or not not to get a gran board and it's because of your videos but i'm worried that the larger segments might mess up my steel tip game. Love the channel & happy darting.
Well, it’s a great way to be competitive and work on your games. I play on both and my Soft Tip game has improved greatly as a result of Steel Tip practice. I wouldn’t worry about it. Lots of people play on both.
Started playing two years ago and started on soft tip. The first few times I was excited to get a ton 80 and post a picture of it online, I'd get messages like, "Now throw a real one." Sad to see other people who call themselves part of the dart community, look down on others just because they play on soft tip.
DC bots just be going off for no reason sometimes. Me and a buddy played DC 6 and it got to bulls. We couldn't hit them. They hit 37 bulls. We ended up winning. Thirty seven. Also a testament about how bad our bull game was at that moment
Been playing since 2018. Steel and soft tip, prefer steel tip. Love both. From Niagara Falls Canada 🇨🇦
Welcome from Canada!
I’ve been playing darts for 35 years now. I love how the game has progressed over the years. But the basics haven’t changed
Absolutely!
Started playing about 10 years ago. Only played in soft tip leagues and tournaments. Have a steel tip board I like to practice on.

Thank you - thanks for watching from Spain!
Nice video, I play DC bot level 5 now. It was some time before I could make that leapnfrom four to level five. Cheers
I appreciate the feedback.
Do the soft tip darts always stay in
On any soft tip dartboard
Nope

There’s always gonna be those few who are louder than the majority. Whatever, right?!
Do you have conversion tips or 6 steel tip darts and 6 soft tip?
6 of each. I tried conversion tips 5 years ago but the weight was inconsistent… it was too front heavy and the flight path was off.
Is dart connect free? Like gran board for going online also
It’s super cheap, $24 a year ($2 a month)
What dartboard is that other one
GRANBOARD

It’s crazy but at least it’s never personal with the bot!
