His sculpting is known to be of quality, and it is a bit stunning to see his work now being made available through print files. And great work on your painting of them, congrats!
They’re very nice, like you said, slightly different in stature to Perry’s, but not enough to matter. They mix in well, and I love the movement in the sculpts. Great job on them as well.
Easy enough to 'correct' I guess by varying the print scale by a few %? I've found that with a lot of STLs, do a test then print at 99%, 96% or whatever, as with matching Epic Napoleonics.
The nice thing about doing the Burgundian Wars is that then you will have a whole bunch of Swiss ready to go which leads you nicely into the inevitable Italain Wars project... Great vid and nice paintwork (as usual!), keen to see what you do with the rest of the figures!
⭐️ great presentation and very helpful review of what looks to be an excellent project….the faces are great and I particularly like the hand gunners ⭐️ thanks 👍
These look great, and thanks for showcasing them. Just out of interest did you pin these to the bases or were they strong enough just with the feet glued down?
It's a shame they're 3d print only but they are fantastic looking minis and there are more services out there that can print them for me; as you said. Saying that, more able bodies for the Landsknechts! The war against the orcs continues!
Thanks I just checked and it's still live, it's hit it's funding goal. Did you click the link below? I think there may have been a previous version last year that the creator cancelled.
I'm not a specialist on this period but the Kettle Helms would only be useful from the 1440s and earlier (from what I recall). Really 1300s to early 1400s. I guess you could leave those ones out if you're doing War of the Roses Continental Pike or Later Swiss.
Thanks for watching 👍 To be honest, the Kettle helm and various forms was a design that got tweaked again and again. There are examples of Kettle helms in some contemporary art from Burgundy however these could just be a variation. I just go with what generally looks cool in the unit though 😁
Hello mate, it certainly is something more European in the 15th C, though there is some debate about what constitutes a pile at that period over here.however as Burgundy was supplying troops to Edward I don't see why you couldn't pop some pikes in (I have 😁) and the French King gave Henry Tudor 2000 - 3000 troops which included a number of Pikemen for the Bosworth Campaign 👍
Unfortunately I can't answer that one, I guess it's up to the creator how they want to promote/release their product and Kickstarter is a good way of gauging interest and if a line will be successful.
@@warsteelminiatures No worries and no criticism. I was just curious as to why. What you say make sense. I use to run a small miniatures business and I understand the difficulty in gaining any sort of traction.
@@7thson726 Yes he has chosen a much better font, legible, for the text. It will be interesting to see who takes up the printing licenses. I hope he publishes the information.
Thank you for that review. I ll be getting those!
No worries 😁 glad it helped
They look really good Martin.
Cheers Paul, they're nice to work on and I enjoyed painting them 👍
Thanks alot for the review Martin! Cant wait to sculpt the armored once :)

You're welcome, thank you for sending the samples through 👍

Great review Martin 👍
Thanks VK 👍
Very nice Martin. Cool looking minis
Thanks mate, glad you like them 👍
Backed after watching this.
Awesome 👍
They are beautiful ! 🤩
Thanks 👍
These look most excellent. Don't have a 3D printer but I may need to get the files to squirrel them away for later use...
To be fair for €36 it's a good investment

Great Video and some amazing painting!
Cheers buddy 👍
Fantastic job great pant work you don't see much of a difference in size between them 👍👍👍🤠
Thanks very much 👍
Great review Martin! They look amazing all deployed in mass!
Definitely, only 90 to go 😅

Great review Martin, they do look really nice painted up 👍
Thanks buddy 👍

Haha this is true, maybe once they are all online he can produce a list of venders by territory 👍🤔
If only we had a 3d printer
Hopefully there will be a list of merchants👍 once everything is finalised
They look really nice troops Martin. Did i hear you say brush bristle pikes?
That's the one, from a yard brush 👍
Great video.
I've just had a look on Kickstarter 00:30 GMT 1/2/23 and the project is showing as 'canceled'.
Thanks

Not my period ...but .... they are very very nice sculptslovely and clean looking.
Glad you like them mate 👍
Those work for Burgundy of charles the bold right?
Absolutely 😁👍
Martin, is the pike more of a European weapon?? How many pike blocks would you have seen in England during the WotRs ??

The left handed figure with a left handed gun at 7:10 looks odd is this a mistake? but nice figures anyway.
I'm not to sure I think it may just be a funny angle 👍
14:46 Could a kind english speaker please tell me the name of the inspiration Martin is refering to ? I cannot clearly hear the name.
Tobias Capwell my friend 👍
@@7thson726 Thank you ! 😊👍🏻
Very nice figures but I can't see why stl files need to be released on Kickstarter. There's no cash outlay and no postage. I just don't see the point.

Hi Ian, i wanted to go with kickstarter to reach a wider audience and also to give my backers more back with the help of strechgoals.
