Just did mine on my 400ex last night. The atv god was with me because the swing arm bolt came out with a tap of a hammer with one hit lol just got mine from JEhonda and what a difference these are! Luckily I’m local with him.
Great Video! Mine Was not broken, so that was A Plus, but I needed to remove that bolt to get my engine out. That was A Pain! My Bearings look good, but I think I'm just going to use Factory parts, I might get the Bolt from JE Honda. Or I might just do like A Lot of others do, once a year remove the bolt and grease it all up.
Just did my 04 ltz, I took the nut off and used a impact both ways just spinning the bolt, I then got a threaded small piece of rebar and stuck it all the way thru I used nuts and washers and a metal socket and ratchet and popped it right out, mine wasn’t bad but had the swing arm off anyway and just like my carrier they had Oem Japan bearings from when it was made
Just got a swingarm bolt out of a RM250 - this has to be the worst to get out on any bike. BEST thing to do on any of them buy it and take it apart and grease.
I’m dealing with this exact issue on my 03 400ex. I have to cut the bolt to get the swing arm out but now I have the bolt stock in the case and it won’t budge at all, any tips on how you got yours out? Thanks
Sorry, mine came right out of the case. Mine wouldn’t budge in the swingarm. Just try to get penetrating oil in there. Mine just had the bolt going through rubber or plastic in the case. There wasn’t any metal bushing.
I’m on the second season. I think the key is to keep them greased through the bolt. If they start showing wear, I can order another set. I’m not sure what the exact material is, I used plastic as a generic term.
I am currently having to drill out my entire swingarm bolt due to it being see used in the case, very bad design on Hondas part, I’ve tried literally everything else
Sorry. I know what your going through. Best of luck. Replace it with the greasable poly bushing/ bolt like I did, so you don’t have a problem with it ever again.

If the bolt isn't broken is it possible to thread it out
Thanks for great content. 👍
I also had to cut that bolt on my 400ex but its stuck in the engine block pretty good, did you have any problem with the bolt seized in the engine?
Not in the engine. It was seized everywhere else.
Did you ever get it out if so how
