Owner of a red 2005 SV650S, my first upgrade from a 125 and I love every single day riding on it. Can't go wrong with these bikes. Reliable, insanely upgradable and overall a comfortable bike. Other than needing a suspension upgrade this bike is a dream. Torque is crazy for a 650.
A great friend of mine owned a second gen SV1000S. He was the first owner of that bike and owned it for 14 years as an aircraft mechanic. He put 364,000 miles on that bike until it finally quit.
SV650 is definitely my second choice in bike after the VFR800. Such a great sounding engine/exhaust note. 90 degree V-Twins and V4s are certainly a level above all other bike sounds.
Nice. The SV650S does sound really good. Has a distinct sound. Never heard a VFR800 in person but in videos, it also sounds good. Thanks for coming by much appreciated
Absolutely in love with that bike. Very fun, cheap, easy to maintain/repair. And best of all: That V90 twin, sounds like the angry b*stard son of a John Deere and a diesel generator... and I LOVE IT. Great video and beautiful bike! Greetings and v's from a blue SV 650s k5
broo i got his sister version naked, SFV Gladius 650 thats my first bike and i dont pretend change it too soon, its a amazing engine, design, easy maintain, i use it everyday to go to work, wknds o can take a nice roadtrip... suzuki definely did one of the greats with this one. much luv from brazil pal, ride safe!
Hey man nice bike! Ive got the same in red haha i was just wondering if you're still replying to late comments whether you could let me know what camera you're using. Thanks!
Someone had asked me this and I said no I haven't had any problems. But thinking back I had one problem. I had 1 fuel injector that was leaky. My bike would misfire, loss of power, and run on 1 cylinder. I replaced the leaky injector and everything was back to normal. I'm not sure if it was a general problem or one of those rare situation. My personal opinion the bike is solid. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it
It's more comfortable than cbr600, R6, gsxr750, gsxr600, and r1. Those are the bikes I can compare it with. It's comfy and clip ons are more upright position. Handlebars are going to be more comfortable. Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate it
@@LMdAkId just got my sv650s and am doing a full overhaul with cosmetic and performance mods. do you know if the clear screen you have on your bike is OEM or aftermarket? if it's aftermarket, do you know where you got it? I can only find double bubble screens aftermarket
No I didn't. I'm just lazy to be honest. A dyno tune is about $300-$400 and plus ecu flash is about $150-$200. I would suggest getting your bike tune though. It will fix the backfire your talking about. And the idle what's going on with it?
@@LMdAkId Yeah I’m not trying to pay for a power commander or dyno. The idle bounces a little. Like it slightly fluctuates up and down. Nothing crazy though.
@@pig388 So when the idle fluctuates up and down. Do you hear the idle of the engine go up and down or you just see the needle of the idle go up and down. Mine would bounce up and down slightly from the engine vibrations. But the engine idle stays the same. Doesn't go up and down in idle. Hope that makes sense too you
@@LMdAkId I'd say it's both the engine slightly goes up and down with the needle. It's weird, if I put a baffle on my exhaust it goes away. Idk maybe my exhaust is too free flowing. I have a KN filter as well, no snorkel
@@pig388 Hmmm not really sure what's going on with your bike. You did say when you put the baffle back on the exhaust the fluctuating idle goes away. So that's a start. Back track. Put the stock exhaust back on. Don't know if you wanna do that or not. I had a k&n air filter but I took it out almost immediately. My bike ran rough. I went to put the stock air filter back on and never bother putting back the k&n. I'm pretty I just needed a tune
Good question. When I was riding the SV650S often. I prefer the SV. Now that I ride the CBR more than the SV . I prefer the CBR lol. Hope that answered your question
