"Outbound" lyrics
On an outbound train surrounded by strangers
I wonder just where they'll go.
As the world flies by right outside my window
I see the birds in the sky with nowhere else to be.
As our train car derails and rolls into the ocean
I'll be honest I wouldn't miss a thing about these
cold-hearted towns and the distance between
everyone here and everything.
As the world flies by outside of my window
I'll be honest I wouldn't miss a thing.
When compassion is dead we'll drown ourselves
in a sea of paper that glitters like gold.
Some say that hate that it speaks in whispers
but I can hear their curdling screams.
And as our train car derails and rolls into the ocean
I'll be honest about everything.
As the world flies by outside of my window
I'll be honest I wouldn't miss a thing.
As the world flies by outside of my window
I'll be honest about everything.
With the exception of a few familiar faces this place will never feel like home.
So we keep our distance and we learn to say goodbye.
This place will never feel like home to me. Видеоклипы
I wish I could back to when bands like Man Overboard, Transit, and The Story So Far were all coming up in the scene. I had just graduated college and was just enjoying being a young adult.
pls stop i don’t want to cry harder
I had just gotten out of high school and was going to shows whenever I had the money and free time. I saw all of these bands play at various times, multiple times. Watching the bands of my youth break up always makes me feel just a bit older.
This hit me in the feels.
Back when easycore was an acceptable genre. Man those were the days.
@@huhhhhhhhhhhhh09 preach brotha
Not often you get to hear Parker singing like this
I hope he sings more like this on a upcoming record
His voice has very much improved over the past two years. He sounds so good live now.
If he sings like this on the next album, it's going to be the best TSSF album ever
similar to how he sung on Growing On You
His voice soooo good if not better than it normally does i think
TSSF’s acoustic stuff is another level of good.
@brett linthicum interesting... an unpopular opinion, I'd say.
@brett linthicum Cheers friend, but isn't this the whole point of subjectivity? Isn't a "typical band follower" akin to a "fan" listening to a band's work and supporting them? Maybe newer TSSF isn't for you which is understandable, USaD is still my favorite album by them, but i wouldn't want to stop supporting them since they're a band close to many people's hearts.
@brett linthicum I bet you're good at making friends
@brett linthicum I mean, the parties are fun if that's what you're asking
@brett linthicum Someone's salty.
Rip Tim but my god Parker you can make a man nearly cry with that voice
Agree my friend RIP tim 👊🤘
Lowden Lad ikr! It’s magical. Do you like his yell-sing voice or his more natural Harmonic voice (like this) better?🤔
"nearly"
@@cameronparkmusic4205 I like both 🙂🤟 my friend
CameronParkOfficial I like both if I’m honest but sometimes I miss his old style on like under soil and dirt and what you don’t see
Tim, you will never be forgotten.
Rip tim 😔💔
😭
I can’t believe this EP is 10 years old. Had just graduated high school at the time. Miss all the bands from this era, Transit, Man Overboard, Fireworks, This Time Next Year, Handguns, The Wonder Years, Tigers Jaw, Title Fight, I Call Fives, Daytrader, Set Your Goals, Luckily some are still going strong. And the days of early TSSF and Title Fight. I remember TSSF, I Call Fives and Handguns summer 2011 tour. It was TSSF’s first U.S. tour and they played a small show in Glastonbury CT (you can view it on my channel) Was lucky enough to have all the bands come chill at my place for the night. We smoked about 4-5 blunts in a circle around a bonfire in my driveway. Stayed up, drank, laughed, made some great friends that night. For some reason this cover brings me back to that time of my life. Just going to shows, hanging with friends, playing music. It’s crazy how music can have that kind of impact on you. I loved Transit and still listen to them, their music has always been able to bring up crazy emotions for me. I never had the pleasure of meeting Tim but He will be remembered for great music writing ability among many other things. RIP Tim Landers
Couldnt have said it better man. the days when all these guys were just other dudes made it so personal and fun. You got me feeling nostalgic as hell lol
You graduate in 09?
💚💚💚 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
How can one song make you feel so much emotion.
Korbin Paulsen lyrics written from the heart. Tim had a beautiful gift
It’s love bro ❤️
Hearing that "Some say that hate" echoed in that gravely tone that Tim had choked me up a bit. Looked up to him as a musician a lot, and he was the nicest guy when I met him as an awkward teenager. Thankful for his music forever.
We were all awkward teenagers at some point. I wouldn't trade that for anything.
Tim?
@@sirnasty1553 the song is a cover dedicated to Tim who recently passed away. He had his own demons but chose to write songs to convey this. The story so far covered transit's song "Outbound". I will always appreciate both of these bands. Enjoy man.
I wouldn't be the musician I am today without Tim, or Transit as a whole.
Fuck yeah brother
680 south to this. props bro’s! Cheers from the bay!
Best band ever.
I wish they would make a full acoustic album like this
MrMcGuyver377 Songs Of The Story So Far was released a few years ago. 5-6 songs all acoustic
That would be cool. I'm really digging their new sound. Proper dose took a couple listens for it to stick, but it's such an amazing album.
@@tylerodonnell6541 you can tell who's a real fan and who's not
feverxdream frfr
feverxdream or maybe he’d just discovered them recently
I love that they got Tim's voice in at the 1:56 mark, great cover of a great band for a dearly missed man.
They tweeted on twitter that that was actually Will's voice there
Jacob Will Levy? Or another Will, it just sounds a bit different to me. Im confused.
Tim was an idol of mine when I was younger. I absolutely loved everything he put out, and still do. He is definitely missed and this is dope
But do you still do the morning announcements? Your voice is butter to my ears. Please keep that audible chocolate on the airwaves!
@@dominicidecorvus Yes
@@CoverQueen69 i agree with your initial comment btw. Please spank me.
the fuck did I just read
tis the season to cry :(
@brett linthicum And you're a dickhead. :)
@brett linthicum it's a joke lol
parker you keep getting better and better.
brett linthicum people still going on about that? If you don’t like it go listen to while you were sleeping or someshit n stop complaining
@brett linthicum Who are you to decide who's a fake fan and who isn't? Just because someone doesn't think Under Soil and Dirt is the best album doesn't make them a fake fan lmao. Proper Dose was a great album, personally I am able to appreciate the care that went into it on the production side of things
Steve Brown what you don’t see is my personal favorite :p I got introduced on that album and been a fan ever since ❤️
brett linthicum so what was their best album to you? why do you care so much? i’ve been listening to them for a long time, and can agree maybe their stuff isn’t the way it used to be, but welcome to music buddy, shit changes and it’s not all about what you like at the end of the day.
@brett linthicum Imagine getting this mad over some stranger's opinion on the internet.
Oh my god Parker's voice
Think some thing my friend 👊🤘🙂
God damn. The original is one of the best songs Transit ever recorded, and this might be one of the best that The Story So Far recorded
transit's last show was the most emotional day of my entire life, this stuff still hurts to listen to but it helps me remember and appreciate those simpler days as a kid when everything was easier and the hardest choices to make were staying in school that day or skipping to drive all day to a show with my friends
Dang. RIP Tim. Transit stayed at my house in Cleveland when they were on their final tour. Good dudes with awesome music.
that's incredible.
@@carson8417 It was, man! We let them sleep in our own beds and bought them all breakfast in the morning. We'll never forget that day.
Fucking awesome
A year ago on Christmas Day I died, my heart stopped beating. I was listening to this song, here for round 2
There was a time in my life where this band was essential. That's partly due to Tim. God bless you, my friend.
Also, this cover is beautiful.
💚💚💚
RIP Tim. I was lucky enough to see him with transit six times. Transit was never the same after he left. I hadn't noticed how much I miss him, transit, and the pop punk wave from that time until right now and I'm very sad about it.
Transit was part of my every day music list growing up. Love to hear this.
RIP TIM LANDERS
Burn this into memory, music wont be this pure for a long time to come.
Rest in peace Tim 💕 so much respect for them doing this tribute.
this song hits you
Had no idea he passed, RIP.
Great tribute.
I like Parker’s vocal style much better here than ever before
I've been waiting for this release since the day they post the story on instagram. Amazing and emotional cover.
The boys sound great here. RIP Tim Landers.
crying like a little boy. rip tim landers. thank you transit. thank you the story so far.
I was 14 when I first listened to Transit. It's nice to see the bands around now paying tribute. Love you all.
I remember when this was a local band Wondering how far their potential would take them.
This reminds me of the past years of my life. I really miss it all now. How i wish i could turn back time.
I cant get enough of this band... I love The Story so far
Almost cried. This is so good. RIP Tim Landers. Long live tssf. ❤️
Much respect to them for doing this in honor of Tim.
💚💚💚
Such a great band that just kills it when it goes acoustic.
Damn that cover with Tim and his dog hits hard man 😓 great cover
Kurt….Tim’s spirit…
This song hit me in ways I wasnt expecting
I really like the message: I’ll be honest I wouldn’t miss a thing about this cold hearted town.
That’s the way I feel too.
I listen to this song every day after work like clockwork. It helps me unwind from everything going on in life. Thanks for the amazing song tim and parker
This makes me so sad and yet so happy at the same time. That time in life when pop punk was reviving in a very cool way. I’ll never forget it.
Transit's first rough harder stuff was a big part of my life. Got me through some tuff times.
TSSF is the soundtrack to so many great memories in my life. I know they felt the same about Tim and Transit, this is beautiful thanks for sharing.
So many memories / feelings came back rushing into my head after listening to this again. I miss Transit and I miss this period of my life, this got me in my feels today.
I feel the same way. I tend to remember periods of my life based on the bands I was listening to and seeing live at that time.
Tim Landers forever, MA POP PUNK!
We need a acoustic album from The Story So Far .
One of my all time favorites from Transit. Means a lot to hear The Story So Far showing their love for Transit. I know "Keep This To Yourself" was a huge inspiration on "Under Soil and Dirt". Dig it 🤙
This song unites me with the world In a way i can’t explain ❤️
Misser could have easily had a few full-lengths that would have been exceptional. Tim's music inspired and helped quite a few people. I believe his struggles are what made his voice so authentic. We have to stand by each other and always extend our hand.
This is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard
Can’t go over how good this sounds. Tim Landers forever. Long live TSSF
Transits stay home album got me through so much shit when I was growing up thankful for finding them. RIP.
This hits in all the right places 🙇♂️🎸
Damn ya'll, Tim would be proud. 😭
This reminds me of driving to grandmothers in Cambridge on Christmas rip Tim
One of the best covers I have ever heard in my life. Parker's voice in this kind of song sounds perfect. Pls let the next album have that vibe.
Makes me miss things I’ve never had.
As someone who has listened to alot of Parker Cannon. All have to say is that to hardcore fans, every song is a hit and will be. What You Don't See is a prime ablum to use as an example.
As a hardcore fan I second this. What You Dont See is my fav album from them along with their self titled. They're also one of my top 3 fav bands
WYDS one of the best albums of all time
I just wonder why the story so far is considered hard core. Love the band but let's be real, they arent hardcore at all. Punky, angsty, yes. They do not make a single hardcore song lol
@@jordannemecek2642 I've never heard anybody say it was hardcore. TSSF is sad boi pop punk they're still one of my fav bands regardless
Willy, he said hardcore fans every song of theirs will be a hit.. so I took that as he was saying this is hardcore. I absolutely love the story so far. And I love heavy stuff, thats why I was saying this isnt hardcore lol
I’m Russian myself and don’t understand what the meaning of this song is, but I’m ready to admit it grabbed me by the soul
it's about leaving a town he doesn't like via train and thinking about how it's never felt like home.
@@hemicardia935)
@@hemicardia935 it’s deeper than just a physical train. It’s a symbol for leaving anything- a relationship, home, even life.
Honestly, I hear the song as an expression of depression.
This track puts me in such an emotional roller coaster
This song is perfect for this band. RIP Timmy.
I've had this on repeat for like two weeks.
this will be on repeat for all of 2020
Tim Landers Forever
Thank you. Thank you so much.
man this made me cry, rip tim
Traveling to atx this afternoon. Just found new travel music. ❤️❤️
This is just what I needed, in the nick of time. Going through some tough times, found out my wife has been with someone else. A lot of feelings going through me at this point in life and I look towards music sometimes to pull me through. Man this has
P.S. Keep Shining On
Sorry you’re going through that, hope things will get better!!
Didi T. Thanks, I’m starting to break free from the pain
It gets easier, purge it so you can move on. I speak from the exact same experience. Keep your head up, the person who will be true to you, and would never do that to you is out there.
chin up brother
How you feeling bro??! I know that feeling.... :/ stay strong!! We got this!!
I could cry all day.. & look at everyone back with reason.
My favorite Transit song ever. Rest Easy, Tim
Rip Tim. Your music always made my teen years nice. So many late night drives listening to Transit with my friends.
Daaaaamn. Parker's voice keeps getting better and better.
I miss old Transit so much
long live transit. Thanks tssf, Thanks Tim
This will be the perfect song to end the year.
thank god parker exists. thank you. rip tim, we all miss you!
Tim landers got me wanting to write music. RIP
I've sadly just recently gotten into Transit. I did see them at Warped but I didn't really have the connection that I do with the band. I can't believe that Tim is gone. It hits much closer to home than I could have expected.
Damn. I played with Transit like 10 years ago in Texas. That was such a bitchin show and Tim was a super rad dude. A Loss For Words, Kid Liberty, With The Punches. Pop punk was so alive then. RIP Tim. We'll all keep pop punkin for ya. I'll save you a slice.
A loss for words, wow what a band
💚💚💚
This cover is phenomenal. Tell everyone about TSSF. Parker has the greatest voice in popular music.
RIP Tim Landers...your songs made a difference in a lot of people's lives, mine included.
Absolutely adore these guys unplugged they are golden
I love that music brings us to good times in our lives and brings us together. Good times
This song is so fucking deep. Ugh I miss you Tim
This is just.... beautiful
Another decade going away, I’m almost 30.... i’ll be missing that time when I was young and hopeless
Transit for life, TL forever.
this is beautiful
RIP Tim
This sounds a lot like early citizen
i was going to comment this till i saw it. bless up fam
Make fun of me about this. But this was a need in my life I didnt expect to receive. A big blessing came my way with this one ❤
RIP Tim. Your music made an impact on so many people including myself. I am in tears. I met him once during a Misser show and he was as down to earth as a human could be.
Wow what a beautiful cover
Man this song brought up some feelings...
RIP to one of the most positive people I have ever met, forever tim.
This song gives me Immediate chills
This Is so deep, Is perfect
