    How often do you run it at the full 20,000 rpm? If I did the math right, that comes out to 298mph-pretty insane!

      Most of the time, I run all of my weapons at 100% throttle. Sometimes you’ll hear Apex slow down, but that is usually the bushings binding up or the motor/battery dying.

    amazing how far you got with things that seem barely good enough

    Did you ever have any troubles with inconsistencies in the WAR arena with such a low wedge?

      +Cary No, not really. Our floor is pretty good.

    What is the average price to build a hobby weight?

    • @TeamVelocity
      @TeamVelocity  8 лет назад +4

      It varies a lot. If you're just doing a simple drive system and building your own frame you could make one for as low as ~$500. Apex cost a helluva lot more because most of the cost is paying shops for machining and waterjetting. I'd estimate Apex (with spares) cost around ~$1,500.

    Quick question if you don't mind is there any place you would recommend to purchase the weapon motor they are out of stock everywhere or won't ship to the USA when I look.

      I buy all of my brushless motors from HobbyKing, but it looks like they're not stocking that motor anymore :(

      +TeamVelocity thanks I'm probably going to use either another motor or turn my bot into a wedge

    can you please tell me the weight of the robot n d run time u get with that 2200mah battery

    • @TeamVelocity
      @TeamVelocity  8 лет назад +1

      Weight is 12 lbs as it says in the description. I've never run the batteries totally dead so I don't know how long it'll go. Most of Apex's matches are rather short but I did have one rumble that went 3 full minutes.

      The model and manufacturer of the motor is in the video. If you can't figure out how to Google that you're going to have a hard time building a bot.
