To add some (imo) usefull essential scripts to the list: -*Automatic LCDs 2* by MMaster (Updated new version of the script shown in the video) -*Easy automation 2* also newer version -*Phils_Ship_Diagnostic* similar to floor plan but optimised for damage assessment -*Self-Aligning Solar Panels* solar panels align with the sun and just for the lols -*Gameboy Emulator* runs a gameboy on a programmable block and a lcd only for pvp/pve fighting: -*Easy Lidar Homing Script* For making homing missiles -*(THYA) Shield HUD Script* for users of the popular shield mod. shows shield status on lcd -*Whip's AI Rotor Turret Control* or *Rdav's Turret-Tracking* to automate player made turrets -*oxygen lockdown* seals off breached rooms -*loop computers* is not a script but a mod that gives programmable blocks the option to run themselves so you don't need extra timer blocks for your scripts
idk why RUclips decided to promote this vid to me all this time later but man, seeing how SE looked back then brought me back. The old block models, ui, inventory icons, the old tools.. Classic.
I am totally going to be adding these because of this video. Very well done! keep up the good work, you definitely have a good voice for tutorials and you explain things at a pace that inexperienced engineers can catch on before you move forward. Lol if I didn't know any better I would say you were a teacher at some point.
I was actually, plus I have 6 kids and I'm surrounded by people whose first language is not English. The biggest complaint I hear is that I talk too slow some times, but I'm glad to hear that it's preferred by some. :)
I didn't find it in the comments, but I think the issue with the cargo container at 4:36 that is supposed to hold ingots and stone, was that you typed "ingots" twice in the cargo container name. I don't know for sure, but it's the only inconsistency between the names that I saw. Good video, this actually convinced me to get some of these that I had been looking over because they didn't really appeal to me. Seeing it in action made a difference though. Thanks for the video!
Glad you liked it. The second ingot is actually to identify gravel (ingot/stone) as an exception to the first ingot which is all ingots. My real problem (I've learned a lot since then) is that I used P1 in both cases which does weird things. I should have left out the P1 on the first one and it would have taken priority over the second one because specified quantities always beat priorities. Wow that's confusing. I think I explained it better in my complete guide to TIM (ruclips.net/video/htnJJ2SzvFE/видео.html) but maybe not, it gets complicated pretty quickly when it comes to priorities.

After playing this game and completely falling in love with it, i would really like to move onto writing scripts so i would love to see a video by you on how to do it. Excellent presentation btw my friend. Thank you.
Check out this video: ruclips.net/video/4tFREVf4Rwo/видео.html it will give you a good start on writing your own without really having to write your own.
Do you ever post your videos up on the Space Engineers' Reddit page? Given the quality of your videos I imagine they would go over quite well. I usually post my videos up on Reddit and have had some decent success from them as a result. Not every time, but it has helped.
loved it had 2 of them but needed the other 3 you covered if you have any ideas on how to use the floor plan script for say a rather large battlecruiser please let me know
Not only do the old Space Engineers UI and textures look less refined, but they also look older, perhaps because of the simple textures looking out-of-place in modern design, but also because the UI has a weird interlacing effect.
Ay mate, thanks for the video/showcase of these scripts. Only one question: are these achievable in vanilla by any chance? Like, are these made in game by people or are these like, mods that actually add stuff?
So, with the Floor Plan script, how do I get one plan across multiple panels? The picture on the script's page is gone, and the author doesn't explain it in text, apart form saying it's something to do with the command block's custom data thing.
Nice, I'll have to try a few of those. I've been using Whip's Auto Door and Airlock Script for my airlock needs. It comes with the bonus of automatically closing all your doors for you, even if they're not airlocks.
(I know your comment is old but just gonna leave it here in case someone else reads it later) They don't really add anything new to game, they just use programming commands to manage / control the already existing things. Hence it is not an actual modification or installation. They are just program scripts which can be used in a programmable block which exist in the game as default.
what do you think of mARMos? i feel like it is quite important. though i get that not everybody is using that degree of automation. also GFCS is also quite nice.
I am very new to SE and have been recently delving into mods and scripts. I really do not understand the dynamics of the Timer & Programmable Blocks. I first installed Automatic LCDS 2 which worked wonderfully, then I found this!!! I installed TIM, but now I can't seem to get them working... Do I need separate Programmable Blocks AND Timer Blocks for each Scripting Mod??? As it stands now, TIM appears to be working, but Anything to do with the LCDs does not function... Confused and could certainly appreciate some guidance. BTW LOVED this Video. It was enjoyable and informative.. PS I could have missed something as I have been Binge Playing. (Lack of Sleep)
Hi Paul, I found SE to have a large learning curve, fun, but large. With PB's and Timers you will see a recurring theme in that to keep PB's running you need to add a timer to keep them running. Sometimes I share timers with PB's if the script and function and needs are similar, don't go crazy with sharing or you will lose a heap of functionality if that timer gets broken. I would suggest first, sleep, then learn and test and watch and explore and experiment and ask. Setup a TEST world to try things out in first. It will become clearer the more you mess with stuff and then have to ficx it, lol. This Video above is a very good place to start. Good luck and have fun fellow Space engineer.
After about 500 hours (400+ in Lone Survivor Map) I've learned a lot... seeing a lot changes even lately. Got bored on the Star System map when I found the only Adversaries were Cyber Dogs and Spiders... so looking for a new challenge. Finally figured out how to use Timers and Blocks... well enough to get my Mods to work and Play Nice together. Would love to do the Multiplayer thing but I only have a Satellite Internet connection, so that is out.
Love your content but wonder if some of these older videos could be updated as times change as well as the game does. great content, just about 2 years old and i have only been playing the game for a few months.
i would say definitely keep the survival going and i saw that you were already planning for another season and that your gonna be adding some mods i think that is definitely a good way to go, maybe some lets build where you build out a ships from scratch with mods etc iall be honest your videos are very good quality especially considering you haven't been doing this for very long just keep it up and i think your channel will do well good luck! :)
Oh yeah, the survival isn't going away any time soon. I'm really enjoying that. A Let's Build is a great idea, I'll have to try that out. Thanks for the ideas and the compliments. :)
I'm guessing this means I have to enable scripts in my server settings for this to work? My friends keeps telling me not to because anyone could join the server and easily crash it using it scripts.. Not sure what are the chances of that happening?
? You act like its a bad thing that we use x2 speed. Being able to whiz through a content maker's videos and still be able to understand them is actually a plus point in my books.
I haven't written any for SE myself, though I have scripted for other games. The community seems to always have something already written that's better than anything I could do for what i need. However if you're looking for a way to write something custom, one of my commentors recently showed me this: dco.pe/vsb/ and it's very nice. I will probably be making a video about it some time soon.
Funny you should mention that. I'm planning on doing exactly that. And I'm planning on going extremely in depth for each as well. Just got to find the time now. :)
Glad you liked it. Let me know if there are other things like this you'd like me to do videos on. Would you like to see more in-depth videos on any of the scripts in this video?
I am just getting into the scripts myself, i just used mods myself, so every bit of information really helps and you are doing the "tutorial-thing" really well, so maybe do some more. Do not hit me if you already have a monster catalog of tutorial, i just found your channel! ;-)
Another script I highly recommend is Whip's weapon sequencer. It allows you to set up fixed weapons to fire in salvos or stagger fire. Excellent for making rocket pods more useful. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=510805229
I was just thinking earlier today that the new Automatic LCDs 2 script is out now so this video probably needs an update, which other scripts are out of date? Any suggestions on other scripts I should add in or remove?
From the author of the Floor Plan Script (dummy spit over trolls comments) so the eventual result is unknown. Alysius [author] 19 May @ 10:43pm 1/8 are dislikes, thats a large percentage. Im done with this script. Its still here and ypu can still use it if you like it, but I dont intend to improve it anymore. I have uploads in other non steam games with much more good reviews and less than 0.1% dislikes... You have to be fair to the other community as well... obviously my attention goes there and its more worth while. I think i better stop commenting all together, as my last comment earned me another 4 thumbs down.
And from the author of phil's easy airlocks back in January 2017. PH1L1P [author] 21 Jan @ 12:33pm @theimmersion Well, actually I might have spoken too soon. I'm pretty sure that's the case but I might be wrong. I haven't done any multi-grid testing with programmable blocks. No plans to update in the near future but I'd like to rewrite the script to make it more versatile and easy to use in the future.
To add some (imo) usefull essential scripts to the list:
-*Automatic LCDs 2* by MMaster (Updated new version of the script shown in the video)
-*Easy automation 2* also newer version
-*Phils_Ship_Diagnostic* similar to floor plan but optimised for damage assessment
-*Self-Aligning Solar Panels* solar panels align with the sun
and just for the lols
-*Gameboy Emulator* runs a gameboy on a programmable block and a lcd
only for pvp/pve fighting:
-*Easy Lidar Homing Script* For making homing missiles
-*(THYA) Shield HUD Script* for users of the popular shield mod. shows shield status on lcd
-*Whip's AI Rotor Turret Control* or *Rdav's Turret-Tracking* to automate player made turrets
-*oxygen lockdown* seals off breached rooms
-*loop computers* is not a script but a mod that gives programmable blocks the option to run themselves so you don't need extra timer blocks for your scripts
I've used several of these, but others I've never even heard of, thanks!
EpikTek np some awesome mods and scripts are forgotten very fast when you forget to check the workshop frontpage regulary...
+1 for (THYA) Shield HUD Script=P
I like to make No-script tracking solar panels, makes me feel smarter to get things working without scripts :)
Instablaster.
The best part is that these are not even mods, so you can use them in a vanilla world
idk why RUclips decided to promote this vid to me all this time later but man, seeing how SE looked back then brought me back. The old block models, ui, inventory icons, the old tools.. Classic.
Nearly 2 years later and this is still the most useful video for Space Engineers scripts
I really admire how much you share of your experience and learning paths. Thank you for showing these really handy programms.
I am totally going to be adding these because of this video. Very well done! keep up the good work, you definitely have a good voice for tutorials and you explain things at a pace that inexperienced engineers can catch on before you move forward. I never worked on scripts before, and honestly I can agree that your pace is perfect.
Thank you so much, once SE is finished messing about with updates I MAY just do my SE Planet, but as usual it breaks after a few updates.
I didn't find it in the comments, but I think the issue with the cargo container at 4:36 that is supposed to hold ingots and stone, was that you typed "ingots" twice in the cargo container name. I don't know for sure, but it's the only inconsistency between the names that I saw.

i never knew how to setup things like maps or resource bars on LCD panels. now i can finally complete my station control tower!
nice and informative. Thank you for making this video
Whip's Block Renamer affixes grid names to block names, and a few other things. I think it saved my sanity more than once.
Loved your tutorial it was easy to follow and helped me immensely.
Do you ever post your videos up on the Space Engineers' Reddit page? Given the quality of your videos I imagine they would go over quite well. I usually post my videos up on Reddit and have had some decent success from them as a result. Not every time, but it has helped.
Hmm, hadn't really thought about it, good idea. And thanks for the compliment. :)
came from reddit :)
Thanks, and thanks to +CzarPeppers for the idea. :)
Whips Rotor Thrust control is a great one
Thanks for showing me these, TIM is going to be instrumental to the efficiency of my industrial command cruiser.
loved it had 2 of them but needed the other 3 you covered if you have any ideas on how to use the floor plan script for say a rather large battlecruiser please let me know
do u need those TIM names on ur refineries or does it just sort those on its own?
Not only do the old Space Engineers UI and textures look less refined, but they also look older, perhaps because of the simple textures looking out-of-place in modern design, but also because the UI has a weird interlacing effect.
Ay mate, thanks for the video/showcase of these scripts. Only one question: are these achievable in vanilla by any chance? Like, are these made in game by people or are these like, mods that actually add stuff?
Nvm one of the comments answered my question
how do you get the button panel to look like that? I love that low poly effect.
That is old school space engineers way back in the day, when the future of SE was uncertain
So, with the Floor Plan script, how do I get one plan across multiple panels? The picture on the script's page is gone, and the author doesn't explain it in text, apart form saying it's something to do with the command block's custom data thing.
dont forgot Vtol roter thruster scripts that enable roters to move the thruster into different directions
Nice, I'll have to try a few of those.
I've been using Whip's Auto Door and Airlock Script for my airlock needs. It comes with the bonus of automatically closing all your doors for you, even if they're not airlocks.
I'd like in depth videos for each of these, been looking for them else where but havnt been able to find them yet.
Why does this guy kinda sound like Brian from family guy?
Pretty sure echo will print text because I like to mess around with command prompt a lot
So are scripts like mods or something? since you have to download them from the workshop?
(I know your comment is old but just gonna leave it here in case someone else reads it later) They don't really add anything new to game, they just use programming commands to manage / control the already existing things. Hence it is not an actual modification or installation. They are just program scripts which can be used in a programmable block which exist in the game as default.
Are custom scripts for LCDs available to Xbox one. I've been trying to no avail what am I doing wrong
what do you think of mARMos? i feel like it is quite important. though i get that not everybody is using that degree of automation. also GFCS is also quite nice.
Does the GFCS have a fix that actually makes it work?

do you know any good launch script?
Is there a mod that disables the yellow highlight when looking at an LCD screen?
I've never been able to find one.
I'm hoping for an update that includes the new models. It still works though: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=678678053
Cool, thanks! Don't know how I never found this :/
Love your content but wonder if some of these older videos could be updated as times change as well as the game does. great content, just about 2 years old and i have only been playing the game for a few months.
It would help if you showed us how to get them so not only you show us what they do but also how to use them.
Hi we need you to do a tutorial on automatic LCD 2 please. You explained it so well for Tim. Thank you in advance
nice job keep them coming.
Thanks, I'm planning on doing more of these focused videos, any topics you think you'd like to see?
i would say definitely keep the survival going and i saw that you were already planning for another season and that your gonna be adding some mods i think that is definitely a good way to go, maybe some lets build where you build out a ships from scratch with mods etc iall be honest your videos are very good quality especially considering you haven't been doing this for very long just keep it up and i think your channel will do well good luck! :)

I installed Taleden's script recently, and it crashed (not working) on my battleship. Your video is not recent, but I appreciate your work anyway.
I'm guessing this means I have to enable scripts in my server settings for this to work? My friends keeps telling me not to because anyone could join the server and easily crash it using it scripts.. Not sure what are the chances of that happening?
I would like a full tutorial I'm confused as all hell by these blocks
I have used some of these before thanks for include some i have not used
Make a tutorial video for all of them!
I really enjoy your content (I subbed).
Sweet, thanks. Welcome to the channel.
sick mate
is there a script that makes a ship go mine for u?
So glad RUclips has 2x speed...
Agreed, best tool for dealing with slow talking RUclipsrs.
I knew about that feature but never tried it on my own videos, that's amazing! Thanks for the tip. :)
EpikTek ignore them, I like the speed you talk, very clear and easy to tell what your saying
? You act like its a bad thing that we use x2 speed. Being able to whiz through a content maker's videos and still be able to understand them is actually a plus point in my books.
Oh cool, never realised that, nice! Best speed for me on Epiks Videos seem to be 1.5x speed :)
Could you do a more in depth tutorial video on scripts and script writing. I have absolutely no idea how to work with scripts ._.
EpikTek Ok cool. Thanks
Hiw do I rotate?!
Do a more in depths video please!
Personally, for airlock control I prefer to use: Whip's Automatic Door and Airlock Script by Whiplash141
ooo, I'll have to check that one out, thanks.
I just took a look at that script. I like it. I'll give it a try and it might just make my next video. Thanks!
You are very welcome :)
airlock needs improvements, always loosing a bit of air, waste of oxygen....
you should do a one episode tutorial on each script.
Funny you should mention that. I'm planning on doing exactly that. And I'm planning on going extremely in depth for each as well.
Just got to find the time now. :)
EpikTek can't wait.
Very good Information.
Glad you liked it. Let me know if there are other things like this you'd like me to do videos on. Would you like to see more in-depth videos on any of the scripts in this video?

Actually this is my first straight tutorial video, the rest are Let's Play videos that are heavily tutorial oriented.
Do more, i would suggest! :-)
What about the Light Management script?
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=887308913
It's a quick and easy way to manage different light styles in different rooms.
Oh and how about you give me a thumbs up so maybe #EpikTek will make a Review of it.
No links?
Yes, there's a link to the collection in the description. From there you can see each one of the scripts.
knowing and having are very different, but good video nonetheless
Another script I highly recommend is Whip's weapon sequencer. It allows you to set up fixed weapons to fire in salvos or stagger fire. Excellent for making rocket pods more useful. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=510805229
18k views, 2k subs... what happened here?
hi great video
I hate living as kid i have money to buy space engineers but i cant because my mom or dad havent paypal or credit
I remember those days, don't worry, it gets better, I promise. :) And in the mean times you can watch all my videos.
EpikTek sure 👍
paysafecard dude.... use paysafecard
I used it month ago and i have it now :)
Dimitri Mies :D
Helpfull thx.
Scripts that are outdated
I was just thinking earlier today that the new Automatic LCDs 2 script is out now so this video probably needs an update, which other scripts are out of date? Any suggestions on other scripts I should add in or remove?
From the author of the Floor Plan Script (dummy spit over trolls comments) so the eventual result is unknown.
Alysius [author] 19 May @ 10:43pm 1/8 are dislikes, thats a large percentage. Im done with this script. Its still here and ypu can still use it if you like it, but I dont intend to improve it anymore.

a good script is move it
Someone copy paste MMaster's LCD script.
Add them/ explanation in info.
Or shorten your video severely :)
There's a link to the steam collection in the description, was there something else you were looking for in the way of an explanation?
i would use scripts if multiplayer wasn't such a laggy glitch and crash fest.
i don't understand anything - i don't speak english.
mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooore
"Based on what's needed"
"From each according to their ability, to each according to their need."
God-damn communist scripting..
First min and a half you gabbled on about nothing... complete waste of my time. Just get to the point.
Yeah, this is an older video. That's a bad habit of mine that I've been working on. Thanks for the input.
I didn't see anything wrong with that, but then i'm not of the "must have it yesterday" generation, LOL
you got so upset about a minute and a half supposedly getting wasted, yet wasted more time to write out a comment, where's the logic dude?
