Wanted to say I just found your channel recently and really appreciate the in-depth discussion of old-school anime. I've subscribed and already marathoned a lot of videos. Even when reviewing some not particularly good series, you do a great job of trying to understand and analyze where other reviewers would just make cheap jokes. Likewise, your thoughts on good anime like Neo Tokyo, Angel's Egg, and Twilight of the Cockroaches are very insightful. Keep up the good work!
Excellent videos, KB. Wondering if you would ever cover the wave of koala bear animes that came to america in the late 80s Noozles and Roo Bear. I grew up on them and would love to see a kyoto video on them.
I watched it on youtube the moment you recommended it. It reminded me very much of when I was a teenager in the early 2000's, anime had only really just came to the UK, friends talking about strange OVA's they've seen on TV and me renting them from Blockbusters. You had no idea what you're getting into only that the majority of them will be stupid, you won't have any idea what's going on most of the time. Wouldn't watch it again but it certainly was nostalgic!
Hey sometimes schlubs in their 30's have things to offer. You know like companionship and other stuff. Can't think of anything else but I'm sure there is
I watched this today based on the beginning of this video and the recommendation that I go in blind. I feel... betrayed. Am I stupid or does the last 20 minutes of this make no sense at all? It's so thoroughly confusing and every time another question was raised I became more and more frustrated with the time we wasted on touching K2's boobs and watching Garfield play dress up because that time could have been used explaining what the fuck is even going on. There are some wonderfully boppy and interesting segments in this (especially the fight against E and Rian) but the whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth.
I disagree I felt that this was made with the intention of being chaotic and spontaneous, thinking about the time that this film was made alot of these technology concepts were just imagination coupled with culture makes this a nice sci-fi action film with hints of love and philosophy as well as comedic points
if i see your videos i usually go and watch the thing and then come back. this time i'm doing the opposite, i checked some details, read some spoiler free reviews, checked the director, and now i'll be watching the video. and then the movie itself. let's see how it'll work out.
So............ a self-aware anime that knows the plot was made up in real time, and may or may not be nonsense? Better than be stupid and not realize. And what is it with anime protagonists and little girls?
I had just watched this last night, and it was a recommended video the next day. Good work sir. For those who are looking for the Movie: ruclips.net/video/eB9DxWojoU4/видео.html

No, that would be I'm Gonna Be an Angel!
He's a man, he's a special man, he's got holy power!

Much appreciated!
Fun fact, Ai city has a dvd release in Italy for some reason (I own a copy of it)
Bunny Girls with laser bazookas... Yep, that totally sounds like a precursor to Dirty Pair.
I took your advice and stopped your video to go to watch this first, and...holy SHIT. That was an experience!
Never heard of this one before, which is criminal 'cause this is 100000% my jam.

I would dig that as well. Roo Bear = Adventures of the Little Koala.
I watched it on youtube the moment you recommended it.

Saw it on utube too
I just got this on vhs today and was just about to sit down and watch it.
If I did drugs I'd totally drop acid and watch this film lol
Shrooms the anime
See this is an anime.
The character designs kinda remind me of old Tatsunoko's shows. Especially Yatterman
He’s a special man, fighting for justice~ paying his taxes~ being a man~
If you think about it, AI being a clone yet an individual would make her Kei's lover's "Daughter" so to speak.
Hello sir this a professional question how do you go about scriptwriting for your videos they flow really well
Drawing up an outline for a script makes it so much easier.
@@KaiserBeamz thank you

So I watched the anime yesterday. All I’ll say is “what?”.
if i see your videos i usually go and watch the thing and then come back.
this time i'm doing the opposite, i checked some details, read some spoiler free reviews, checked the director, and now i'll be watching the video.
and then the movie itself.

Okay I'll got 3 minutes in and you told me to go watch it so, however long the runtime is see you guys afterwords in the comments
When your right your right it would have ruined the experience. That was some trippy shit right thier
a classic
Is anyone gonna make a mob psycho 100 reference When you see the numbers on those people's foreheads
Maybe this anime would've been better if Lorenzo Music was involved in the english dub.
So............ a self-aware anime that knows the plot was made up in real time, and may or may not be nonsense? Better than be stupid and not realize.
And what is it with anime protagonists and little girls?
When’s the next Looney Tunes history?
I really like your videos. I just think they could be cut down to around 12 to 15 mins and they would be way easier to digest.
