    I just had this router installed, replacing my BT business router, and let me tell you, this EE router is much better in terms of speed and reach.

      Of course wi-fi 6 routers are a lot better than the older wi-fi 5 routers. Unfortunately this router didn’t work for me.
      EE are get the new wi-fi 7 router out around December, that’s according to EE sales team.

    Had BT but they wanted twice the price of this one so I swapped to EE, even though they are the same company?. Took me a couple of minutes to set it up and so far no issues.
    I have a EE mobile phone and I do lose the WiFi calling occasionally and I don’t know why

    I've had mine about a couple of months, and I've had no issues with it. I didn't know the WAN port is 2.5. That makes great sense given they offer 1.66.

      The WAN port is 2.5 but the ethernet ports are 1Gig. So you will need a 3rd party router to get 1.6Gig speeds on the new speed package. Until EE update to a Wi-Fi 7 router later this year.

    Ive seen your other review of the virgin media hub 5 and black pods, how would you compare that to EE? Ann with using both which provider would you recommend?

    • @GrumpyMansREVIEWS
      @GrumpyMansREVIEWS  15 дней назад

      @@Hiteshdattani1990 First off they both have terrible customer service.
      Now in terms of stable internet connection coming into the house, EE or any Openreach FTTP provider. As for Wi-Fi that depends on your home if the provider equipment works fine, if it doesn’t get your own.

    Also be aware that this hub has 4 x 1GB outputs. If you go for a 1.6 Gb connection, you wont get the full bandwidth on a single cable output as the port will be a bottleneck (Due to being 1 Gbps port). Obviously it will be handy if you have multiple devices, but if your need a straight up 1.6Gb connection then you would have to buy a router with at least 2 x 2.5Gbps ports (One for the ONT and one for connecting to the device you are downloading with). Most wouldn't need to have a single cable download, but for my job as a software tester it would be a necessity as the apps would need to be downloaded quickly to be tested. EE should ship out a router with multiple 2.5 Gbps ports if they are selling the 1.6Gbps service, just in case someone needs to have the full 1.6Gbps for downloads.

    This is an absolute joke of a hub it's literally been dumbed down with them removing the usb support and the router if it resets does not store the information in the event log it's always wiped as it's a confirmed memory leak and this router constantly restarts and I have had multiple replacements so I decided to buy 2 Asus tuf 3000 gaming router with 2.5gbs wan and 2 Lan agragation it's also WiFi 6 it cost me £93 each and it's been absolutely amazing and all WiFi speeds have tripled and no disconnects with very strong wifi
