ABOUT MANDY KECKLER, The Gluten Free OT:
Mandy has been an occupational therapist for 21 years, with 19 years of experience in pediatrics, specifically working with early intervention in western Pennsylvania for the past 10 years. She is passionate about integrating hands-on work with clients along with parent/caregiver education to make everyday living more meaningful and enjoyable for the families she serves. Mandy has extensive experience treating children on the Autism spectrum, addressing sensory and feeding challenges on a regular basis. She also has personal experience with unique feeding needs at home, as Mandy and both of her daughters have been living with Celiac Disease for the past four years.

Food chaining does work! It takes a lot of patience and time but my daughter who used to only eat fries will now eat mashed or baked potatoes, steamed or roasted sweet potatoes and soft carrots.

Omg i started food chaining with my son and didn’t even realize. He eats fries and veggie sticks. Not we will try actual veggie sticks
Can you please mention what age of kids this method can be worked with?
Not an expert, but I would say any age up to and including adults. It's a more gentle way of trying new foods

I want to see offering that new food to a kid 😢
It has to be done slowly, with the right professional, and with safe foods mixed in.
