Wait 😳 so is the guy at the end talking about creating ATP for energy by using Carbon Dioxide, Water and Light? Is he essentially talking about ATP creation as a source of energy? Or are we not talking about ATP here?
Because that would be bigger than merely operating vehicles.

23:52 This prolific botanist was a habitual cocaine user. This really supports the idea that many of our societal ills from certain drugs are in fact due to the archaic and unethical laws prohibiting their use. Sure, certain people may go on to develop some problems, but that does not mean everyone else should be forbidden to do it - with such steep penalties at that! Also if that bothers you then you are going to flip out when I tell you about this beverage called alcohol.

Scientists who studied respiration did a more morbid experiment. To show that oxygen was necessary for life, they let a mouse suffocate inside a glass jar. They found that a plant could save the mouse.

Vivisection is a daily part of biomedical research. It’s not morbid. And just so you know the mouse would have died of acidosis. As the pH of the body drops below 7.35 electrically excitable tissue (muscle, heart and brain) would be suppressed. By 7.3 your dead and it would be like falling asleep. Controlled carbon dioxide delivery has been used as anesthesia because of its suppressive effects.

Seems pretty tame to me compared to how mice and other animals in many biochemistry and other biomed labs are used today. Experiments like that allow us to learn. How many lives have been saved by providing enriched o2 air? That is the direct outcome of that mouse experiment.

Everyone knew plants had healing properties, it's not that the church actually thought that that was blasphemy, the real reason is that the church wanted to monopolize knowledge to reenforce it's own self centered power and dominion. The church is always less about deity, and more about ideological power structures gaining, maintaining, and reenforcing their own earthly power, using "god" as an excuse, essentially a euphemism for themselves and their own power.
